What have you done to your P5 today?

topped off my gas tank with $30 87oct $10 89oct and $10.75 92oct. I love when other ppl chip in for gas.

Yes, you def. have to remove the whole bumper to remove the whole headlight assembly. You have to pull the bumper as well as two brackets that keep the headlights from falling out when the bumper isn't on(i guess that's thier function. They don't do anything else from what I can tell)

You planning on blacking out the headlights?

Passed 100k on the way home from work. Time to put another 100k on her. (drive)

Threw the CEL P0171 (System Too Lean, Bank 1). Not sure why, the car runs fine. Looks like I have some debugging to do tomorrow.

Emptied her out for the first time in about a month, now she needs a good cleaning. Afterwards, I drove to my local Mazda club's monthly meeting and talked about autox.

Dynamat'ed the inside of the rear quarter panels and rear shock towers. So far I have about 52 sq. ft. of dynamat in my car (rear doors and rear hatch area). That comes out to about 24 lbs. Time for some performance mods to make up for the added weight :icon_lol:

Non-mazda work: Ran a tach wire and hooked up the door actuator to my GF's remote start/keyless entry system. Also took it for an oil change.

Very productive day for me (cabpatch)

Would a bad o2 sensor cause the car to run rich and the idle to drop to below 500rpm's on occasion? Mechanic said he looked at the EGR and it was clean, but, I told him I'm still gonna clean it.

We can't figure out still why the idle drops and why the engine dies after every time I put gas in it.

I would bet on a bad o2 sensor.

02 Sensors usually go from working to not working and can be tested with a multimeter. Have you tried a new gas cap? Maybe it's not making a good seal and throwing off the pressure in the tank?
