What have you done to your P5 today?

Yeah, the swaybar isn't that expensive...AWR is like $150 and you get new endlinks with bolts included...

BTW...Installed my new/used AWR 19.5mm swaybar and LOVE it...With my new Proxes 4s and the new bar, I'm in handling heaven...

awr 21.5 is closer to 300 dollars when your done. the 19.5 is 150, but if you are going that route i suggest the 22mm progress. ive had all 3, and i like the progress the most

Took my car in for an engine and transmission oil change. Shifting feels so much nicer at the moment, although I know it will return to "normal" in a few thousand KM. As I was leaving the dealer, which is actually cheaper for oil changes than my local garage or the quick change places) the service manager ran out and stopped me. Told me to call up and complain about a rough idle and they will replace the EGR under warrenty as long as I do it before I hit 100,000 km.

i had a long ass crack on my windshield, so finaly got it replaced. It looks smoother than a babys butt, been sick all day so havent had the chance to actually get an up close look. (nervous) will def post sum pics

Found out the tab that holds my front driver's side end-link to the strut completely broke off, leaving the end link to flop around and hit the wheel.

New windshields are great. I remember how nice it was when I got a new one on my old car after a rock came off a dumptruck on the other side of the highway. I couldn't believe how rough the old one was till I got a new one. Of course, since it costs a few hundred dollars to get a new one it isn't something I would go out of my way to do.

towed my car to the auto repair shop. Replacing blown long block with a 2003 FS long block w/14000miles. Damn need to save money. Can't wait to get my baby back on the road.

your car is sweet dude.

thanks dude. Ya I was sour when I busted my #4 connecting rod and put two holes in the front and back of my block. Plus I just put my mint blue side skirts on a few days before. And I still got my speedzone rear lip waiting to get put on also. Wish I didn't have to pay $1600 for the motor swap and repairs. Couldve done some work on my "current engine/suspension build"

you should pull the motor and install the motor yourself.... just buy a new one.

yea...i'm definately putting it back on. i'm afraid to take it off now without knowing if i will be able to put it back on.

part number for JUST THE NUT is: 99940-1001

:-) Going to have them order me 4 of them as soon as I get back to Gainesville. I only stripped one but just in case I'll have 3 spares for the other struts :)

My driver's side headlight burnt out for the second time in a few months :'(

So I installed some Eurolite Xenon Fusion's and they look amazing. They're actually blue!

Matt

screw from the butterfly?

That's what i am thinking. Sad thing is I was talking about removing the VTCS on thurs.

Any news yet ? So far it sounds like the butterfly screw. I had it myself and it sounds all too familiar. Did you check out the spark plug again after you tried to drive it again ? My guess is the electrode is all bent up again. If you have the stock exhaust manifold still on you can take the upper part off and you most likely will find the tiny pieces of the screw on the screen before the first cat.

Good Luck man. How many miles have you got ? Did you check out to see if yours was in the recall ? Maybe you'll get lucky.....

This was only on the '03s right?

I actually didn't get the insurance to cover it - only cost me $170 installed. (cabpatch)

I had a big ass crack and numerous chips, it was getting to the point where I couldnt see out the window lol

Thats a great idea. But i lack the proper tools and equipment to install the motor myself. Although $1600 would probably get what i need to do the swap myself. I have no room nor a garage to perform the job. And lets not forget i don't have the proper education/knowledge to do it myself. Sure the protege5.ugly.net but that's a little dry. What the hell is a "SST" anyway. LOL

Damn i just picked up an 'O3 motor with 14000 miles on it... Hope i didn't get one of those loose butterfly's. Think i'll call the shop and tell them to swap intake manifolds just in case.
