What have you done to your P5 today?

Installed the CS exhaust today - boy was that a chore. It took me about two hours of tweaking until I could get it so the tip didn't touch the rear bumper cover. It still isn't centered but at least its on and everything is working. I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to try to fix it because the exhaust it too hot from driving around. Man this thing sounds amazing though!

my racing beat is rubbing the underside of my car above the rear crossmember, i need to try and fix it. i've tried several things but i guess i'll keep trying. guess it's time to play w/ the hangers

today I sprayed some white silicon grease on the underside of my shifter..
*crosses fingers it helps*

no problem. just dont do it on campus. i installed my safc II on campus and got a gun drawn on me for stealing my car :p
LOL I never though of that. Either way, I'm home for about a month so I shouldn't have to worry about that - just neighbors complaining about me banging things around. Well went out and bought the connectors from Radioshack. I want to get this done today but after straightening the exhaust this morning and the 90 temperatures right now, I might just have to put this off some more.

Yeah that's what I would try next. I spent probably two hours adjusting the exhaust via flanges only to realize it wasn't going work. Just be intuitive about how you're bending or moving things - don't want to get it backwards and have it crushed against the crossmember. Even when I had the Magnaflow and MAM midpipe I had to do some adjusting and the midpipe still hit the crossmember. Now with the CS I'm rattle-free (for now). I still can't get over how amazing this thing sounds.

Oh yeah, 1000th post baby! (drive2)

i got 359 miles to a tank of gas friday. i was pretty happy about that. i still wasnt even on E, so i probably coulda gotten like 365 or 370 before id definetly have to fill up.
i havent gotten gas mileage that good in a really long time.

Just removed the cruise controle, and replaced alternator belt with gatorback! So once I disconnected the cruise control and the sensors I now of coarse have a CEL. For any of you that have removed there cruise controle is there a way to get rid of this CEL???

So anywho here is some before and after pics of my cruise control removal

I will still be moving some of the sensor wires and more cleaning up. It definately opened the engine bay up a ton and made it alot easier to change my alternator belt

i was rattle free for the longest time, then it started clunking over bumps so i put the kartboy hangers on and now it vibes. think i may try a stock hanger for the rear muffler hanger and hope it helps. i think once i get all new mounts it wont do it as much, i think that's what initially made the clucking was too much engine movement

Hmm, I never got a CEL when I removed my cruise control. Did you reset the ECU or perhaps have the CC button "on" when you removed it?

Today, I drove it to dinner.

Yesterday though, I washed it, and installed a Hidden Hitch and RockBlocker Fog protection (clear).

I reset the ECU and it still has the CEL, and the CC button wasn't on when I removed it. What did you do with the 2 vaccume lines going into the intake manifold? I removed them and put caps on the pegs. Also what did you do with the one sensor that was plugged into the CC and the two sensors plugged into the bracket?? Mine are just hanging there right now. What should I do???

Mainly because I am entering a car show this summer, it free's up the engine bay, it made it easier to change my alternator belt, and I don't use it that often. Plus I can always put it back in if I need to

i never use mine :( i should remove it...but idk how to so o well. no biggie

It's not that hard, just need to figure out how to get rid of the CEL. Let me know if you need some instruction

never use it much? Must not do much highway driving lol. The 2.5 hour trip to birmingham a couple weekends ago made me wish I had it in the Miata...then again, no I don't. It's heavy enough as it is...

highway is pretty much all i do. i just done use it. even the 4 hour drive to the 12 hours of Sebring i didnt use it

ah...well...then you're retarded. Who needs good gas mileage? Or let me guess, you're foot's way steadier than CC could ever be!
