What have you done to your P5 today?

geez i've never gotten that good. maybe i'll try using my CC...i dont think it will work very well except for my midnight drives home from my g/f's house

Me and my dad had the cruise set at between 65 and 70...route dependant. I've always used cruise on my cars, and have never had an issue. I've usually always got better mileage too. My Civic retained CC after the engine swap, but the spring on the throttle body is too stiff for it to really work too well.

installed a new pioneer deck. had a kenwood b4 and it sucked lol..i totally hear a difference now wit the pioneer. plus now i have an auxillary port xD btw my whole sound system is stock atm lol. time for some subs!!! LMAO

Which Pioneer deck did you get? I may have to pre-maturely replace my Pioneer deck. It got splashed with something last summer...and it's hating life right now.

well i went to my g/fs house, got gas, went to the movie, and then...threw a fu*kin CEL when i left her house. idk wth it could be, i havent done nething lately. so i guess tomorrow b4 work i get to go my advanced auto and have it read....

You said you got gas, probably an evap code for loose gas cap.

i tightened it til it clicked... tighten more and turn it on or do i have to reset ECU? it didn't come on til like ~20 miles later. is that typical?

If the gas cap was loose then you would have to tighten the gas cap till it clicks and get scan tool to reset the cel. But you said when you got gas it clicked so has the car been acting wierd since the the cel and any mods?

no new mods for like a month. it seems to drive fine other than making a noise from the front mount, but when i replace the mount back to stock the noise goes away so idk what it is. i guess i'll see tomorrow morning

Don't worry about it. Be happy the car is still driveable and doesn't have a horrible misfire or something. Its probably for something stupid, perhaps a dumb egr code.

yea my car has been having the rough idle that is cause by the egr valve. but it hasnt been that bad. what does a misfire feel like? i also wonder if the o2 sensor needs to be cleaned or the nonfoulers arent working right for my header nemore. i'll take it in tomorrow to have it read, it's free right? i am gonna hit the sack, gettin up at 8 to take it to advanced

You would know a misfire because the car shakes like a mofo. If your getting a rough idle its a good chance its the egr and that could be why there is a cel. Also the possiblilty of your nonfouler not doing its job and the ecu seeing no cat. I believe autozone is free, not sure about advanced auto.

Look under the dash on the driver side. You will see a back 16 prong connector, that where the scanner plugs into.

ok i'll go get it checked. i dont have an auto zone near me...closest is like 8 miles. if they arent i'll just yell at them about how auto zone is. its OBDII right? ggrr. it's not a misfire then, lol. well i'm out for the night. thanks for the help, i'll post about what it turns out to be.

I doubt it's the gas cap - it would take longer than that to throw a cel usually if it were a gas cap issue. I hope it's nothing serious...
