What have you done to your P5 today?

my last car wuz a stock 2000 civic si, am i gonna be able to make my manual 2002 MP5 faster than that for less than $2k?... if not i'm prob not gonna want it cuz the car cost more than mine did newayz... i might be willing to save up the money and go for a turbo kit + intercooler and of course an ECU flash so it runz 91 oct but that might take me a while to scrape together

Dude, I had the exact same car, and then a pontiac-driving-bastard totalled it, and now I drive a P5! Def slower huh? I feel cooler in my Mazda though.

Centric rotors and Posi-quiet pads are in the mail courtesy of Tri-point Engineering. $170 shipped for all four corners!!

Being a current Civic owner with a B-series engine, similar to your Si (but a little bigger), I can say that the lack of low end torque from those little screamers give the P5 a nice little advantage. A big difference I noticed is that with the Civic, the car pulls to 8200 rpm without thinking twice, and my P5 tends to fall on its face over 5500. Before anyone says it, I know the stock exhaust manifold and exhaust on my P5 doesn't help that situation. I will say though, I have ALOT more fun driving the P5 thru twisties than I ever did driving my Civic. My Civic is alot quicker than my P5 due to everythign that I've done to it, but just doesn't have the handling.

You have a lot of cars! I'm curious about this BMW pickup! Got pics?

^^^lol....I will let the wifey know! That is the one thing she is adamant about...no drop. :( Doesn't stop me from dropping hints though. :)

I was wondering why it looked so outta place...that explains it.
Yeah...I'm thinking I'll order it a month or 2 before I leave here (if I go back to the States)...it depends on where I go next. :D

I do have a few pictures. Unfortunately, photobucket is blocked here at work. I'll attach what I have here now, then what's on photobucket later today. It's a complete abomination of a car. It began life as a standard 530i, then it recieved a 3.3L euro motor and a 5 speed, as well as better springs, bilstein shocks, a Zender body kit, and as of last weekend, a set of BBS wheels. It needs some serious body work, but it runs.

Here's a pic of our last BMW gathering, with 4 of us in the bed.

Ok, that's a candidate for the grassroots motorsports challenge if I've ever seen one!

My 2002 began as that. I got it for the cost of the title work. Solid car...it just has an automatic in it currently. I have a lot of parts for my dad's 320i at my disposal...but nothing ever became of it. Perhaps now that I have time to work on it, it may get there...

You should! It's a great event. Eventually when I have a garage at my disposal, I plan on building / running a car there :)

The car has potential...

Me and my dad went halves on the truck, so it's not completely mine...but half isn't bad either...

The 2002 needs a bit of work, but that doesn't scare me. The car is solid.

That truck should be fun on the street though. When placed on the individual wheel scales, it weighed in at...

1102 1056
758 780

Should be pretty tail happy being that light in the rear...

Well I am calling out for help. I need one fog light lens, mine is cracked and i dont feel like getting boned at the dealer for 120.00 for a new one. Let me know if anyone has any leads or anywhere I could get one from thanks.

You can get two fog light deletes for $40 from onlinemazdaparts.com.. other than that, the for sale forum is your only choice.. or aftermarket fog lights and deal with all that?
