What have you done to your P5 today?

well i found out what the bolt is for...talked to some peeps on protegeclub and its to bolt down the regular wheel inside the wheel well, the bolt holding the spare is too short so when you use the spare the longer bolt bolts down the regular wheel :)

Soo....that means I can run a full sized spare, right?

Just got my SLS front mount put in. For some reason they sent me the wrong bolts, right diameter, wrong thread pitch. So after a quick run to lowes and my brother's air tools the install went smoothly and I am very impressed with the effect on driving. It happened to be raining so I took full advantage of being able to break my tires loose at will on my "test" drive. Vibrations are minimal and wheel hop all but a memory.

I used the turtle wax ice last year, it looked good at the start but the shine didn't seem to last beyond the first wash. On the bright side it is really easy to use, and there is no white crap along the edges of moldings etc.

On a related note, has anyone tried the turtle wax ice clay bar product? I've thought about buying some and trying it out.

I tried it, it didn't work so well. Your best bet is to go with the real thing.

sounds that way but i dont know if the carpet would lay all the way down w/ a full size. i dont have a wheel to have a full size one on anyway :(

Tuned the car some more yesterday... it still runs super rich but now I can boost all the way to redline. It feels pretty damn quick, you get to 100mph real easy. Fourth gear pulls awesome at highway speeds too. It is boosting about 6-7psi right now, I want to turn it up :D

Not that I know of. Damn ams! How's the car running? Oh. Bought Turtle Wax Ice....anyone know if it works any good? Gonna test it out this weekend.

So easy to use and initial shine is nice....but doesn't last. :( I have noticed that after a couple of washings or rain storms the water doesn't bead up at all. On the plus it only takes about 30 minutes to wax the entire car....you just have to do it more often.

I think there is some confusion in that thread. Some people are talking about the ATX and some mean the MTX.

I have never heard of a filter in our MTX.

I''ve had my M-transmission in and out of my car several times. There isn't a filter for it.

werd, i just replaced my busted 5sp out for another there is no filter.... and guess what the auto doesn't have one either

Friday evening, I installed a B&M short shifter. What? I already have a B&M installed, you say? You're right, I installed one in my friend Lee's P5. His first mod. He called me Saturday as he was out running around back roads with it, and he's loving it! Now, he says he's thinking it could use a little better suspension, and some more power down-low! ;)

I may have converted another one. :D

does he have kartboy shifter bushings yet? That plus the B&M ss are one of the best mods I've done to my p5 for making it more fun to drive

No, no KB bushings. Do these just replace the bushings in the bottom of the shifter itself? I don't have them, and have still been really happy with the tight, precise action of the B&M. I tried Katya4me's shifter at one point, she had the bushings, and either the B&M or the KB shifter (I don't remember which) and I found it a little too stiff.

I'll mention them to Lee, but he's so happy with his B&M over the long, sloppy stocker right now, I don't expect he'll be looking to tighten it up anytime soon!

I have a kart boy that I got it directly from Kartboy at Protegefest in 2004. I receintly sat in a stock P5. Holy s*** I forgot how tall and sloppy the stock shifter is.
