What have you done to your P5 today?

I hate you guys. I get 22 city and 25 with mostly highway--can't figure out what's going on.

That can't all be roofrack.

I doubt it, I still have the factory rack on mine and I get 31 usually.

I get between 21-25 mpg depending if I got out on the highway or if it's all city.
Autos suck balls for gas milage.

If I'm out around my parents' house, I get around 34 mpg because all the highways are 55, and everyone does that. But around Akron, I get 30-31 because 65 is just a suggestion. 80 will still get you passed.

I'm sure others have faster average highway speeds, but that's how it is in NE Ohio.

My wife has an auto and she averages 27-30 with mixed driving.

This is documented since she has logged every fill up since new.

I also added some Blue Samco Rad Hoses and NRG Carbon Hood Dampers this weekend.

Both look hot on the car.

If you guys have any advice for me, I'm all ears. I'm manual at 55K, did the filter/plugs recently, tire pressures ok. I guess I could have the codes read although there's no CEL. Next on my list is the EGR valve (no rough idle, just infrequent drops); maybe that's the problem?

I've got 97k on my P5 and the lowest numer of miles I've ever gotten on a full tank was 336. I usually get around 390 when the light comes on. Is there something that I just happen to be doing right that makes it better than the average I've been reading on here?

that's about what i get. i usually shoot for 90-100 miles per quarter tank

Yeah, I do about the same. I used to go 200 miles per half tank in my Civic, so the first time i hit 230ish on a half tank in the P5 i was stoked. Then I relized that the P5's tank is about 2.5 gallons bigger than the Civic's, and I wasn't so excited. Now that I did the engine swap, I get less than that...

Yeah, ATX sux for mileage. IIRC the most miles I got on one tank was 330ish. I usually fill it up when the light comes on which has been around 270 miles or so and 11.5 to 12.5 gallons to fill.

If you take my right foot out of the equation it would be so much better! lol

lol me to and the fact im always doing at least 80 on the highway doesn't help much for my gas milage at all! lol HOwever I still get 24 with mixed.

My wife must have the factory freak for ATX She consistanly gets 27-30 with mixed driving.

Must be the ENEOS ATF.

We did remove the Roof Rack, in case that has anyting to do with it.

Thank you Mr. Bill.

Your Hood Dampers will ship out today. You should have them tomorrow afternoon.

Enjoy.

I guess the difference between your wife's milage and mine is my right foot...
Oh well I'll have to deal with it.

Today I had a break between two labs so I ran home, unbolted my struts, and dropped the struts and lower control arms.. installed a bushing stopper that had fallen out on the driver's side, and finally rotated the strut tops so that the dots were in the right place. I probably need an alignment again now, but since I'm getting new springs again anyway I'll just get it after that.

I also added a nut to my front motor mount.. one was missing?? I don't remember if I forgot to put it on after the turbo install or what.

Replaced one of the rubber caps over the windshield wiper nut. Whew, hard work.

Right now, my boss is telling me about his time out in the country as a boy drinking milk straight from a goat's teet.

Someone please kill me...
