I was going straight. Went through a light that had been long green.. then BAM honda accord popped out from behind a snow bank on the right and I hit the brakes, swerved, pumped, etc (no abs, very wet roads) and clipped his rear bumper. It spun his car around, just popped off his bumper cover (still totally intact, barely a scratch). Since I had hit the brakes and he was just taking off from a stop sign going left, the impact was very slow speed. No airbags, no injuries.
Called my insurance company, in 1-2 business days they will appraise my car, but until then I can't get ANY car rental reimbursement. Plus, I'm 20, so I think renting a car will cost hundreds of dollars a day, and my policy covers something like 50 dollars a day?
I'm going to call enterprise or whatever rental car company is around here to see what is goin on.
I have pics of my car going up on the flatbed and all, but yeah I have two final exams tomorrow afternoon and have to go in to work in the AM for some emergency server restoration so I have more pressing matters than posting on here for once
preliminary list of what I saw broken:
-Hood
-Fender
-Front bumper (and sidemarker light.. though well I won't get another P5 bumper so that isn't an issue)
-Front fog light
-HID (at least the bulb possibly ignitor)
-CDM headlight
-Bumper core support
-The Styrofoam over the core support
-Fender liner
-Driver side engine under cover
-Possibly one of my intercooler pipes.
-front grille
-more misc bent pieces?
The car seems to still be totally in alignment, under the hood looks great from what I could see, etc.
