What have you done to your P5 today?

I parked it since I have a rod that started knockin on the door. It hasn't busted through yet so hope I can rebuild it.

Borrowed a buddy's shop/lift Saturday. Added my front bumper foam, added the plastic bumper clips that install in front of the headlights. Readjusted my aac brackets and fixed my bumper sag!

Then I popped off my rear wheels and added camber bolts. I maxed these bolts out (which isn't much) and might be running around -1* on the rear now.

My wife snapped a pic of me in the process.

Slight negative camber on the rear

Also painted my CR3 Brackets Matte Black

i'm hoping the MEAN will carry over to the P5 since it's white as well.

Also had the idea of an LED mod to the tail lights

The Retrofit Source offers halo LED rings. . .

Thinking on installing 3 sets

1 red in the turn signal
1 red in the reverse light
1 white in the reverse light

So, i'd have the normal parking lamps halogen, but when the brakes are applied, you'd get the halogen as well as 2 LED rings in red

Then in the reverse, the white LED ring would come on with the halgoen

That's exactly what I thought. With white or black cars, you can use any color as an accent color. I have to be careful what colors I use on my dark blue car.

So all 3 have halogen bulbs, then turn and reverse have an added LED halo. applying brakes causes the brake bulb to light both filaments, and the halos in the turn and reverse would come on. That was be awesome. I would consider using the halo in the turn signal to flash when turning before having a backup halo. It would be great if you could have the halos sequential when turning

Had rough idle, so replaced spark plugs (it was due anyways), didnt work. cleaned EGR Valve and replaced gasket, didnt work. Cleaned out ICV, WORKED!! finally not idling at 0700-0750. Back at 0900rpms. and running smooth. Gotta take it out on road tomorrow while headed to work. WHOOOO HOOOO!!!

Sounds like a neat setup there Ty and looking forward to seeing the finished product. Just keep an eye out for the po-po so you can turn the fogs off to avoid being hassled.

Over the weekend I changed the oil and while under the car noticed that the PS front tire is wearing on the inside, so much so that it's at the treadwear indicators while the DS looks good all the way across. So looks like my camber is out of whack and need to get it in for an alignment. Thinking the alignment issue is from a worn component which has been the cause of my clunk... Still haven't figured out what it is and it's driving me nuts.

Where did u hear the clunk? On ps side?? I have the same issue too.especially on dirt roads I hear it.

All 3 would still be halogens

Brakes: halogen as well as red LED rings in both the turn signal and reverse (all lighting up under braking)
Turn signal: Halogen (with mentioned red LED only lighting up with brakes)
Reverse: Halogen (with mentioned red LED only lighting up with brakes-possibly adding a white LED ring to assist the halogen on reverse as well)

She's already said no to the sequential wiring

^ well...you know what....I have a place to stay in Daytona. I will come on down, we will do it anyways, and when she doesn't like it, then you have a nice p5 for us to play with

lol, the P5 is HER car, modded the way SHE wants it so i'm not messing with it

and Daytona's 3 hours north of me (but youd be right near Bubbles)

I have family in Orlando too. That's an hour, hour and a half closer. My wife has an '04 Mazda3, white also. It's modded the way she wants. (NO MODS AT ALL!!!!) I understand

whats the ICV? i have a rough idle and been through the plugs, wires, and EGR. oh and some vacuum lines.

I use mine every morning to clear the dew off my window ;)

It's super-useful in the winter, but I guess a good portion of you don't have to worry about that...
