Here we are, no moldings

Seems easy enough. I notice you have an '02 - any fading? Well, your car is white so maybe not...I ripped the moldings off by hand. I was able to scrub the goo off the front doors with soap and water. For the back doors I had to use a card to scrape the foam off and solvent to clean up the rest of the adhesive. I then washed the car to be sure no solvent stuck around.
Wow, you actually got chipping? How'd that happen?it'll show fade usually on our colors.
did mine, and well paint attached itself to the actual body, and i have lil chip spots outlining the moldings, as well as fading.
mine is 03 1 year newer but shows fading, not so much on black or white tho cause it wont be so obvious but on our colors (blue/red) it'll show.
i regret doing the moldings, because of those chips and fade showing, shoulda just kept the moldings as is.
btw. i used 3M all purpose remover as well as goo gone, and this other stuff.
took me forever.
Why do you say this?Leave the side moldings on!! You wil regreat it later on even if you dont have fade issues! Trust me I have done it on two different cars and regret doing it on each other on down the road!
Why do you say this?
This is my major fear. I kind of still want to remove them because I need to get my front lip painted and if I remove the mouldings and there's fading I might be able to get the same shop to do some work there as well.
