What have you done to your MSP today?

ive always read that the main reason for transmission failure for our transmissions was due to bell housing flex, and that there was some sort of brace that could remedy the problem. anyone know where to get these said braces?

Car is still running crappy. I checked all the vacuum lines, changed the plugs, and cleaned the MAF and I am still getting problems. The car seems to completely changes when it hits operating temp. It goes from having tons of power to feeling like the car is going to explode along with being very slow. Mods are Forge BOV and WGA, Corksport Silicon Intercooler Hoses, Custom CAI, and CustomMSP SMIC.

Any ideas? I am getting pretty frustrated at this point.
got any broken exhaust manifold bolts

That shouldnt cause that... I've had two of mine just ship on me twice completely went MIA and never had that issue.

Thom - I had this tuesday and wednesday off if you want to meet up and have me look at your car a little. I know we didnt get a chance to mess with it at automtice addicts. You could always meet me at my house and we can test parts on my car our your car if needed. YOu should still have my cell number.

I told my daughter she could have mine when she's old enough to drive, but she wants a pink Mustang (drunk)

let me know what you guys find. I'm having sorta the same issues and instead of fixing it I'm going to finish building my spare block.

meh. ill probably wait until i pay it off. if anyone blows up their msp or gets tired of it around new year, i want a steedspeed. stock replacment is better, but a T3 wouldnt be bad either. just baught a new 12th scale lol. the poor msp keeps getting pushed down the priority list. but having spent $1500 on a nitro touring car, i suddent dont find msp mods so expensive anymore lol.

funny how this

Lol I just got into rc cars as well. But mine is way cheaper. I have a tamiya Tt01 Drift car with a rx3 savanna gt body. Got parts on the way. Last things for a while since I'm saving for the msps replacement.

Btw all pics taken with signage. Part out thread coming very soon

anyone know if JB weld is enough to fix a cracked manifold? Mines not currently cracked, but ive got about 110k miles on mine so it may go soon, especially since this car has been built since 40k miles and always boostin hard

try flying planes/helicopters you want to talk about a money pit

^ that's a big negative ghost rider. I like my relatively cheap electric cars. I don't even like nitro rc cars....to expensive and crazy loud

Finally started the car since about a month lol. Fired right up. Got the rear coilovers raised, just need to do the fronts yet and fix the camber. The rear endlinks look trashed too. I need to make a list of what i need to make my own endlinks.

planes are a money pit for sure but cars arent cheap.
I paid $600 for my surface radio system, $150 for each of my servos, $150 for every receiver, $250 for speed controls, $100 brush every brushless motor and $100 for every battery i use. then $500 for a competition chassis nitro or electric. if your nitro its two $150 servos and a $750 engine.

my electric cars are more money now as my nitro stuff is used. im not into the high dollar nitro stuff yet but both of my electric touring cars with all new electrics in them top out at $12-$1400 each. i have two of those. my 12th scale cars are about $5-$600 and i have two.

nitro car the lowest. all used but still around $700. buying the s*** isnt what hurts so much as the upkeep over the race season. i probably pend $3-$400/year in tires, $150 on nitro fuel then i need tires for all classes which are typically $12-$25/pair. foam tires for nitro are about $25/4 but you dont get a lot more than a race day out of them, after you find the compounds that actually work for the conditions. so you keep 3-5 different full sets in your pitbox ready to race to find that magic setup. then spares of those.
rubber tires arent better. same thing, a couple sets of different brands and compounds to figure out what works on the track your at. if you only race at home, you can get one brand and compound once you figure it out, but traveling around to difference races not so mnuch. also, spec tires at events drive costs up too. not unusual to spend $150 to enter a race weekend and buy tires at the event.

if you do this once or twice. no big deal. if you do it several times/year like i do, costs add up.

planes are definitely expensive though.

trust me i know all too well i used to race electric touring car all the time costs rack up the nice thing about the ground vehicles is you wreck them and its a couple parts, you put a plane in the ground and its game over, new kit time. Or you can always drop a $1500 FPV quadcopter rig in a lake...that was fun. Truthfully since i started flying i havent touched my ground stuff, might wanna give it a try someday.

figured every body is selling their msp's gotta keep the thread alive some how. So for your viewing pleasure some videos from my FPV (first person video) quadcopter...everything you see is flown through video goggles from up to a mile away at times.

really need to get a gopro into my nt1 this outdoor season.

this is true, you only get one chance to screw up with a plane lol. thankfully i stopped hitting stuff after my first season. i can get around now pretty fast with minimal taps. racing 12th scale indoors REALLY helps your reflex's and driving style.
ive won twice this season and its only my second indoor season. racing guys in the 20 year mark.
next year ill start attending roar regionals as ill have more money.

i wouldn't mind getting a plane but ill prob spend some money on the msp first.
