What have you done to your MSP today?

I need to figure out endlinks for the MSP now that I have the yellowspeeds on. I had to cut my fronts and my rears are toast.

When lowering our car do we need longer or shorter end links?

I've got AWR adjustables for $50 + about $10 shipping. :) Can't beat that with a stick.

everything I've read says longer since with coilovers you're still typically using the stock mounting point but lengthening the assembly or some crap. It seems most of the time longer ones are needed.

Looking at my rears now after getting the height where I want it the end links look waaaaaay bound up and sitting at a retarded angle because I think theyre too short.

I need to measure before I build anything.

i was pretty sure it was short but could be wrong. In the end what you really need to do is set the suspension without endlink and measure the length from your endlink tab to the sway bar hole while the sway bar is parallel to the ground. This will give you the endlink length you need (endlink should be 90* to the swaybar when vehicle is on the ground at rest) Hardest part is going to be getting your hand/arm behind the wheel while the car is on the ground best bet is find a friend with an alignment rack.

That was in the rear iirc. Now that i think about it you will need to make the rear shorter because the endlink mounting tab will be in a different position(lower) then your stock msp rear tab.

Ah gotcha...maybe it's just the fronts that end up longer? Either way I'll definitely measure before I do anything.

Need to get the msp back together and on the road...kinda miss driving it and would like to actually drive it with the new suspension LOL

also what height do you plan on being at? because at my height in the rear(barely tucking a 215/45) i couldn't make the sway bar 90deg. because it was hitting the lateral arms going over hard bumps.

Actually, the rear is about the same height if not maybe a little higher than it was with the aged tokicos. Was sagging a bit and now it's not. About a finger gap between fender and tire.

I cut the ends of the bar off that went under the lateral arms since I have the rear bar set almost as far back as it will go.

I love your avatar monkey. My 5 yr old daughter and I love watching Bean together. We just watched Mr. Beans Vacation a couple days ago, he is a genius. Rowan may be the last physical comedian left. Kind of sad, cause I find it hilarious myself.

cut endlinks, whaaaaaa? mine seemed to fit on perfectly as is... the only P.I.T.A part of the coilover installation was the rear hub after i got the backs on. it looked perfect on the one side, the other side had a decent amount of camber... but it was rubbing on the spring.

adjusted it eventually but had to make the back a little higher. will figure everything out when i get an alignment

LOL I agree. My wife and I still like watching the season of Mr Bean on Netflix as well. Classic.

My fronts are like that.

I set them to the same mark on the camber plate but my driver side has a more noticeable amount of camber than the passenger side. Havent had a chance to screw with it yet. Wonder if that is contributing to the amount my steering wheel is now off from being straight.
