What have you done to your MSP today?

I will be selling mine before the year is over

Yeah.....haven't made the announcement yet, but my msp will not be making a come back. It's just been so stressful dealing with the guy doing the work....and his shady ways. Gave me a sour taste in my mouth. Didn't want the msp to become something I hate because of this guy, and decided to let her go as something I will remember as an awesome car. It wasn't an over night decision, and I def shed a few tears over it, but I feel like its time to move on......

Sorry to see you go Mike, it seems like all of the good guys are leaving. Believe me I understand why and I have had my issues which made me want to let her go. Let me know if you need anything from me..hopefully we'll see you at Road Atlanta and also at Mid-Ohio for some fun. Good luck!!!!

Yeah... for the MSP crowd, you guys have really lost a lot of folks. Just judging by what I've seen, I guess people are getting sick of spending a lot of money just to "catch up" to modern naturally aspirated cars in the same class. It's a shame that such a nice looking car gets discarded so easily.

*Knock on wood* We'll be keeping ours for as long as possible. It's paid for, it runs, just can't abuse it and expect it to bounce back. But for an almost 10 year old car, they still catch my eye when I see one out on the street.

still miss my spicy msp and appreciate that it got me into the whole mazda craze but i really dont miss the dumb problems it had along wondering what day it would blow up (consequently randomly one day the transmission locked up which eventually led to me selling it)...i will say, and maybe a couple of the guys who have made the jump will agree, the speed3 is pretty everything that the msp wasnt. I have the HP, no stupid stumbling, no diff explosion, engines arent ready to explode (yeah it needs upgrade fuel pump internals but thats cake), and i get a bunch of modern car goodies. Just something to think about if your walking away from a MSP but still want something similar.

Dam did Valentine's day make everyone realize how much they hate their msp? I haven't even driven mine since Nov but I'm going to stick with it until its completely destoryed. Sry just sad so many are leaving.

I will more than likely be at the Atl one. And def at the mid Ohio. May go to the mitty the week after the Atl as well....

aiming to have the msps replacement by then....

It's between a speed3, speed6 and new '14 6 sport w/MT for me. I change my mind daily though.

What are you looking at for possible replacements?

Well, I am keeping my MSP and our new MS3 is a really fun car to drive! Nate, Mike good luck on your new car searches!

I decided to buy a new car for the wife within the next month or two and keeping both proteges for as long as I can. I was debating whether or not to sell a bunch of parts but I guess if i wait too long there wont be any market left for them..

ill keep my msp as long as it isn't a rusted bucket of bolts. though im not gonna dump massive amounts of money in it either. it needs a bunch of work in the next couple years that ill do and after that, maybe ill do an electric conversion to it. assuming its not rusty ha. not to say i wont own other cars. just not worth enough to sell vs what i paid for it with zero credit lol.

right after i pay it off, id like to get my hands on a steedspeed stock replacement manifold as that thing has been cracked for as long while. was thinking of going the T3 build route but there are entirely too many police where i live to really enjoy it. figure 12-15 psi on a daily driver is plenty and i think the stock turbo on stock motor can do that the way i drive. though forged rods are pretty cheap so why not. added insurance.

i suppose the t3 is an option as i found a t3 flanged housing that fits the stock turbine but that swap would cost probably $1300 just to replace the manifold more or less ha. closer to $1500 after i do a custom downpipe.

how are thunder mani's holding up in daily drivers? i wanted the steed speed because the temperature fluctuates quite a lot around here.

Car is still running crappy. I checked all the vacuum lines, changed the plugs, and cleaned the MAF and I am still getting problems. The car seems to completely changes when it hits operating temp. It goes from having tons of power to feeling like the car is going to explode along with being very slow. Mods are Forge BOV and WGA, Corksport Silicon Intercooler Hoses, Custom CAI, and CustomMSP SMIC.

Any ideas? I am getting pretty frustrated at this point.
