What have you done to your MSP today?

I know bro, I'm just being silly. Just recently purchased a house in March and money isn't nearly as what it was. I totally understand :)

Hope I didn't a fend anyone...
Congratulations on your house. No one is offended. Glad you are posting again, looking forward to seeing more of your build progress.

that's great... (sleep)

^^^, also some of us have other priorities like bills and kids. Most of us also don't have the luxury to throw money and parts at our cars. It's all good though, like jbrewer said, give us a few years. I'll actually be fully built to include trans work within the next year.
Dam son, don't forget to make a thread :). I hope to be finished collecting parts for my motor by the end of this year.

yeah, I will be making a thread when I start. I thought about making a thread a while back but it wouldn't be much ya know. A few bolt ons and a SSAFC and that's it for the thread. It would sit with no activity until I update it with build progress. But once I start the build, I'll do a timeline from day 1. It will be thorough.

Sounds awesome ^

Yeah, man got engaged October 4 (Married on Leap Day), purchased a house after that and now focused all my attention towards making it homey :) Boy do I have a s*** load of bills now... it's depressing, but exciting at the same time! It's like a hobby.

Yup. House mods instead of car mods.

You going to be at EECMM this year? I'm pulling the transmission right now, and other than that leak, everything seems to be okay with the car (for now), so I plan on driving over and actually hanging out this time instead of driving around.

What have I done to the msp? Nothing but research old build threads for do's and don'ts as I search the M-Town for a reasonably priced quality machinist.

I've driven the car 66.4 miles with no strange leaks, smells, or lights... So, that's got to count for something...

Edit: I actually take that back... The heater outlet hose came off yesterday... This, my friends, is why I don't let other people touch my cars. Something always gets overlooked or damaged or half-assed.

*The rear main seal retaining plate was left loose which is why I had to pull the transmission. It was POURING oil out of the bellhousing.
*The EGR pipe was left finger tight.
*Anything aftermarket (vacuum hoses/wiring) was left loose.
*Heater outlet hose didn't have a clamp on it resulting in it popping off and losing coolant.
*Various bolts/nuts with damaged heads.
*Driver side axle boot has a large split in it and throwing a metric **** ton of grease.
*Crank sensor wiring damaged. (switched it out with one of my other 3)
*Newly painted valve cover scratched all to hell.
*Wire and wire looms routed across hot/moving components.

Sure, not having to waste my free time at the shop doing it was awesome, but having to go back and fix these things is annoying.

Damn dude that sucks. Hope you get everything taken care of.

Yeah, I got it all taken care of yesterday when I was fixing the oil leak. EXCEPT for the heater hose that, luckily, happened right after I parked at my place. Although I was in a hurry to get somewhere and burned the **** out of my arms getting it back on.

Maybe someone can offer a hint

I can start it but the rpms are low and rough. If I press the throttle the rpms drop to almost 0 then slowly come back up over 1000 then back low. Could my timing be off? Can't really get a good vac reading since it won't idle properly. Could it be boost/vac leak? No codes.

Any insight is appreciated

So I'm leaking water into my cabin somewhere again. I have the smell of mildew very strong but don't feel moisture anywhere.. happened about a year ago when I first bought it but it went away after looking for it for a week. Anyone ever had this issue?

It's not uncommon for a 3rd gen to rust along the windshield seal. I'd say check around that if at all possible.
