What have you done to your MSP today?

That's a nice stable you got there. I gotta say its a "Civic" but LSVTEC isn't as much an upgrade compared to this. Its fast. But how often is it gonna break? Lol anybody who's beat on a B18 vtec and drove 10k miles without an oil change knows why they're so loved.

Yeah... the rods are much thicker than MSP rods. I'm currently sitting at 198k on my EK. It's cost a butt-ton less to maintain than my Protege. Difference being... the Mazdas are so much more fun to drive. However, I must say that I enjoy going out to my car, turning the key, and it starting every time. Haha.

I put a 626 engine in a protege and I couldnt get the car to run off gas but it would run on ether so I knew the engine was fine. After hours of being pissed off I finally found out that I needed to change the cam gear. Changed the intake cam gear for the sensor and it fired right up..... Thank goodness.

Installed corksport skid tray
Installed AWR 88duro front motor mount

Adjusted my ride height some to fix how it was off by like less than 1/2 a inch, but now it looks like its off again.

How can I get more camber in the front? Cause my tires run my fenders some

My thoughts exactly. Supposedly it was an Evo or an EVO, Talon. Idfk. But its def not twin scroll so EVO stock is unlikely. Maybe upgraded. Idk. Markings say. Garrett M24 AR. 80....... I hate to call him a liar and besides I did trade a Civic ;-) bbbbbbut banging it til I can do arp head studs and timing belt.

Wait... what? The guy told you it was an EVO turbo setup? Well I can tell you that a Garrett turbo isn't on an EVO from the factory and the T25 certainly isn't bigger than their stock turbo, so yea he's a liar lol.

Blew up the diff today. Or at least I think. Makes a crazy grinding sound in all gears. Assuming it could be diff or clutch as of now. Axles look fine.

We'll see tomorrow once I get it in the air. :( I don't think I broke a Spec 2+ clutch, though.(boom01)

After this gets fixed she's on the selling block. This just solidified my thoughts on selling it. I'm not dumping any more money into it to upgrade the diff, so I'm just gonna throw in a spare trans/diff my buddy has and sell it.

Honda is definitely a anal kilo less to maintain and starts up every time, but your right. This thing is sssso much more fun to drive. The LSD is amazing. Which brings me to my next thing.... DAMN MAN THAT SUCKS! IM SORRY FOR YOUR LOSE! Ive had my MSP a week and already know to fear that!!

And IDK I may have misunderstood, But Im 99% positive I have a text claiming 500 HP on a DSM of some sort with that turbo..... Clearly bulls***. But I would be extremely happy if he wasnt bullshitting about the "forged internals".....

2X -NANKANG NS-1....... FFFFFFFFFRREEBIES!! JOB HAS ITS PERKS ;-)

And most importantly, cant take the turbo coming loose all the time anymore, and Sunday is my "Project Day" so I started ripping crap apart. I figure its a 50/50 shot it"ll stay clamped with proper even torque on FOUR studs, lock washers, and high temp Loctite. If not round 2 will be Inconel, Stage 8 nuts and Resbond........ Drained oil out of my intercooler, and clearly the thing looks like crap.

I definitely have my hands full with this beast and its obviously not as easy as a Honda.....

Its your diff.. hate to tell you but you already know. Get a mfactory and be done with it. I'm so glad I got the mfactory diff on mine. I can actually beat on the car without the diff might break nagging going on in the back of my head.

Edit: On another note it looks like you can still get isport carbon fiber crap

BTW does anyone know where i can get rain gaurds like the isport ones but not in carbon fiber?

What am I looking at in cost for an Mfactory, if I pull the trans myself, and pay someone to replace the diff?

Looking at;

$700 Mfactory diff
$140 Installation kit
$??? Labor

Anything else I'm not taking into account?

YOU DO NOT NEED THE INSTALLATION KIT!!! MFactory provides you with everything you need to install the diff. The bolts they use are good enough for just about anything you can throw at them. Why do I say that, because its rated for 1k hp. I don't see a company advertise that aproduct will hold so much and then turn around and use bad hardware so it breaks way before then.

Other things you might was to look at are thing you might as well do while your doing that job. lightweight flywheel (highly recommend), clutch, axel seals, and rear main seal. If you want to really get into it you can replace your bears and bearing races in the trans but not needed.

Edit: Almost forgot about labor cost. It will cost you roughly 600-1.2k to get installed depending on who you take it to.

There is a black box under the steering column with a white knob. Turn that knob to adjust the sensativity. Also I went and ordered a mishimoto radiator and the parts I need to install my 2871 only thing I have left to get is a universal fmic piping kit and the mishimoto fans ans shrowd

Well here it is boys and girls. Took me about 4-5 hrs, and similar amounts of trips to auto-zone, and Lowes, but so far so good. We'll see how it lasts...... Also, is my turbo blown? Theres a good amount of oil that drips out intercooler pipe down the turbo. Pretty annoying! Very little shaft play.

First trip to Lowe's. Needed 12 point socket for ARP Manifold studs ;-) Then damn allen bolt on the wire terminal was stripped. Took a hack saw to it. And ordered a new one.
