What have you done to your MSP today?

So, I made a "slight" adjustment to my MBC and I hit 15psi................... Needless to say I drove like a grandma on my way back to work...

umm.. you need a sealed battery and/or a vented battery box, if your using a normally battery you will get off gases in your car..

im picking up a optima this weekend. It will still be open in the back because its hard to get the angel of the rear seat perfect.

Sorry for the intrusion

Dont mean to be rude guys but didnt really want to start a new thread.

First off lemme introduce myself. Im Charlie. Just picked up MSP #86 as a trade. Its oooook supposedly some upgrades but I dont believe it. Steedspeed Mani, GSP oil return, injen intake, front and rear mounts, ssssssupposedly forged internals, upgraded turbo. I dont believe that. It pretty much runs like crap. Valve cover gasket leaks, oil pan leaks, ABS Lights, bad pads and rotors. 8piece Mickey Mouse "straight pipe" exhaust, No AC, AAAAAAAAND cant keep the turbo attached to the manifold. HENCE WHY IM HERE..... ANY SUGGESTIONS?! Im thinking Stage 8 locking nuts and resbond. Im hoping not to have to go up to 10MX1.5

that is a steedspeed mani, doesn't look like there is a gasket inbetween

Yea thats a definite. I know that much atleast. And also dude i got it from decided to remove downpipe brackets. So I thought it might have been a support issue. Had a bracket made to support the J pipe a little and tightened 3 accessible studs. But POOF. Wasnt enough, And Im 99.5% positive loctite 472 (i think) 500degree is melting away on the studs. Which is why Im gonna get resbond.

I kind of made this a reverse whatd I do today..... LMFAO TIGHTENED THE STUD AFTER EVERY TRIP AAAAASS USUAL!!

it might be easier to remove the turbo an mani then get the turbo secure on the mani and re-install. I don't have brackets on my dp

Well that is the factory intercooler and charge pipes. Considering the hot pipe and steedspeed both appear to fit on the turbo in stock location, it is most likely the factory T25. So I would call bulls*** on the turbo upgrade, which would mean the built motor is definitely bulls*** as well. Snap some close up photos of the turbo when / if you remove it.

Ya I'm waiting for the parts to arrive.

T25 Inlet gasket
Exhaust manifold gasket
Stage 8 locking nuts
Resbond 907TS 2100* threadlocker
Exhaust flange gasket rather than downpipe gasket

Then I'm going to pull everything out and reassemble manifold and turbo as 1 unit before reinstalling into the car like the MSP KIT.....

Speaking of. Anybody know how much oil and coolant comes out when disconnecting the oil lines at turbo. I have steel braided. Obviously it'd be ideal to do oil change but I plan on doing oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and painting valve cover so ill want to do an oil change after that.....

My thoughts exactly. Supposedly it was an Evo or an EVO, Talon. Idfk. But its def not twin scroll so EVO stock is unlikely. Maybe upgraded. Idk. Markings say. Garrett M24 AR. 80....... I hate to call him a liar and besides I did trade a Civic ;-) bbbbbbut banging it til I can do arp head studs and timing belt.

ouch, looks like you have your work cut out for you. But, these guys on here will steer you in the right direction. Welcome by the way

That's a nice stable you got there. I gotta say its a "Civic" but LSVTEC isn't as much an upgrade compared to this. Its fast. But how often is it gonna break? Lol anybody who's beat on a B18 vtec and drove 10k miles without an oil change knows why they're so loved.

It'll break every other day...
