What have you done to your MSP today?

I told you I would be hopefully soon geez. Had it not been for the hurricane/my car shitting the bed, I woulda come last weekend. Im hopeing end of September at the latest.....ill let you know.....

lol im just busting your balls. as far as the clutch goes the clutch disc looks oem but the pressure plate looks a lil different. heres a oem pressure plate http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/6403/imag0858.jpg it doesn't have the ridges like yours does.

Hopefully will have it all back together tonight. Also. Can anyone tell if this is the OEM exedy clutch? Its from the new motor.

That looks exactly like the ACT street performance clutch I pulled outta mine a few months back when I swapped trannies. Lemme see if I have a pic.

well its def an exedy. and the one i pulled off the 227k mile motor looks exactly the same.

and its raining like crazy here. mother nature said i wasnt aloud to work on my car. had to rush and cover everything up. all thats left is the seals, timing belt, water pump, and then the tranny(need a torque wrench to continue)

also any pointers on getting the arp exhaust studs out of my old head? also any pointers on getting the seals out?

You're not reusing the seals right? Just grab em with a pair of pliers or use a screw driver to pop them out, don't worry about damaging the seal, just don't score the metal surfaces. If you had planned on reusing the seals, don't. Hit me up and I'll send you a set I have spare.

to get the studs out, thread 2 nuts on the stud, jam them together, should be pretty self explanatory from there. you'll probably need 2 box wrenches of the same size in order to get them apart once its out of the head

i got it all figured out. upon inspection the seals looked great. was only gonna change them cause i had them. and after looking at the timing belt, it looked great. apparently it had been changed right before the guy bought hid car. its all back in. on the to do list for tomorrow is the turbo mani, turbo, dp in . plumbing the fmic piping. and plugs. should all work out great. missed the car so bad and cant wait to drive it again.

This is how I snapped one of my turbo studs. I guess ARP wouldn't have such problems.

Destineal, I'd have to imagine your stud was cross threaded or just plain seized in there good to shear off. When I put my ARPs in one of them had a spur on one of the threads, I almost fubarred the whole shebang with that but lucklily I didn't force it and was able to grind the spur off.

woohooo got the broken stud out.I think with this one I didn't let the pb blaster sit on it long enough
