What have you done to your MSP today?

Nice looking car, but what in the hell happened to your right arm? Attack of the photoshop?

Thanks! You know I just now noticed that. Idk what happened, I must of done that in Photoshop lol

It's so shiny, no wonder you won, congrats. I doubt my MSP could win anything, i've only taken the mustang to shows.

Thanks. The shininess was a result of a bunch of cleaners and 2 hours of cleaning haha. I didnt think i was going to win but ta-da, I gotz a nice shiny trophy :)

I guess my goal with this car is a solid 11 second DD with all the comfort it can offer.

.. seriously, cant wait to see what you all come up with!. hopefully can share in product purchases ;)

I spend to hours getting her shiny and spotless. I guess it was worth it cause I got a first place trophy :)

Gratz. (dumb question- but did you just change the bulb from your parking light or what to get that blue tint). gratz again

I am almost full bolt on. If I installed my steedspeed manifold I would be. And it makes me mad that my car is still only a 14 second car when all my other friends drive cars that are insanely fast. the slowest one is a low 12s car. and the fastest is a 10 second vette that is DD. I just want to put the mazda back to stock and then buy a V8 rx7 that will run mid to low 11s on motor.
Sorry haven't been on here a lot lately, so I am kind of late to reply.

Yours being that slow is weird. Mine, with less bolt-ons than you, can hang with my brother's high 12 second MR2 Turbo. I'm on 6.5psi man.

Are you running a standalone? Are you running alcohol injection? Those two things made a world of difference on my car. For instance I outran a lightly modded MS3 on a roll a couple weeks ago on 6.5psi. On the overly rich tune I have on it now we turned it up to 10psi for one run and it was damn rowdy. Then again everyone who rides in my car cannot believe it pulls like it does on 6.5psi. Maybe I got a factory freak...

Thanks. Their just blue bulbs. They came in the old headlights when I bought the car. I just never changed em when I got my new headlights cause they match the couplers on the FMIC piping.

+1... My car, with the usual bolt-ons, was faster than yours too (I say was cuz its back to stock now). No disrespect intended, but the driver has something to do with the equation too. I hate to admit it, but my car was close to a second faster with my father behind the wheel than when I did the driving...lol

Has anyone done the doc b oil system coating? wondering if it's worth it and can i get a new oil pump from napa to get that coated or should i stick with an oem one?

I've been trying for days to get my timing marks lined up and I just can't do it, i'm about to have the car towed to a shop just to get the damn timing belt on right. Every time I think I have marks lined up and the crank at TDC the marks are off when I check it. What is the ******* trick to the stupid timing belt? I've never had so many problems with a car in my life.

spark plugs out makes it simpler... other than that... basically just point the marks where they're supposed to be pointed.

I had the plugs out, and the cyl. 1 plug was completely removed. I have a buddy coming over to help me today, I probably couldn't do it because it's impossible to install without moving the cams with only 2 hands. If he holds the cams with a couple wrenches so they don't move I bet I can do it. I'm extremely frustrated that a simple timing belt has become a week long ordeal.

Tie wrap the belt to the cam gear at the proper location, once everything is aligned and tightened, cut the tie wraps. Extra sets of hands !!!

Since I have bought this car it has had a random misfire issue so today I am going to be changing the plugs and wires. While I am there I may start to put some effort into a coil on plug kit for the car as well.

Somewhat. only two cylinders are actually coil on plug the other two use a wire, A really thin wire. We will make a kit that allows it to run individual coils which will create a stronger spark using its current waste spark setup.

well, Im about to get a civic half size radiator from a local friend with a boosted hatch and he had an extra laying around..looks like it's time to make some custom mounting brackets or make new studs and shave off the old studs. Im going to mount it closer to the drivers side away from the turbo. Im just going to have to figure out what Im going to do for radiator hoses. I may take Signature sound's idea. Also, since I work on helicopters, I think Im going to get some aircraft sheet metal from work and fab up a custom shroud of some sort to direct air towards the radiator since most of the oncoming air will be going around the radiator while driving. Finally, if things go as planned, i may be getting a steedspeed exhaust mani, CS one piece downpipe and an AEM water/meth kit.

you gave me an idea, how about make a little vent that exits facing the turbo? extra turbo cooling, thus ultimately lowering intake temps
