What have you done to your MSP today?

where did you hear that, and what was the logic? if its reliability of the MAF... that theory has LONG SINCE been proven invalid. Theres guys with more miles on their relocated maf than some guys on factory location MAFs..

that was the reason, i abandoned the idea awhile ago so i did not keep up on that. Thanks for letting me know.

not to mention with a relocated MAF your car wont stall when you let the rpms drop.. it sux if you have a BOV and MAF in stock location.. MAF relocate is the best and easiest thing you can do for your car

Guess its good i have been too lazy to install my turbohoses colpipe, now it is already off to be able to cut it so i can install the maf

the only reason to relocate the maf is to run a bov... thats not really a benefit.....

s***, i hate conflicting advice lol. I have no intention to ever run a bov that vta i will always run recirc but my sri is so cramped in the bay, my filter is practically touching the side of the engine bay

even running stock BPV it helps.. it makes car idle better and not to mention if you blow off a coupler u won't stall out.. and it's easier to tune with the MAF relocated.. better air readings

yea, there really isnt a reason not to run relocated MAF,
the only downside is if you have a bad turbo that blows by oil, the MAF will get ****** up real quick

Had the oil changed... While it was up on the lift I had a little look around. Damn thing still looks factory fresh under there... Yummy!!!

I speak from experience. I ran my SSQV recirculated with the MAF in stock location (recirc was 1" hose to a 1.25" fitting on the intake pipe). Then swapped to a relocated MAF and left the SSQV VTA. the improvment in drivability was nothing short of amazing. very simply, the MAF gets a more accurate signal on the cold pipe.

I'm starting to think about a relocated MAF. That would be much easier I think than getting all the s*** for this recirc setup. I am kinda scared to cut my cold pipe though.

Wouldn't that qualify as a reason?

if your turbo is blowing by enough oil to get to the MAF...then yes, that is a problem
i havent heard of anybody having problems with that so far though

and ive always had relocated MAF so i cant comment on the driveability but since wagon said it, it has to be true (lol2)
