What have you done to your MSP today?

yeah there may be a solution that does not include getting ***** by the stealership

Replace the o2 sensor first, your MAF can't be dead already, I had the same codes when I had my MSP, threw in a new o2 and badda bing badda boom, code gone

i dunno my poor car has been through a lot over it's short lifespan lol.

WHOA!!! huge red flag....covered in electrical tape? and there are many factors which determin fuel delivery. The o2 not only monitors fuel but gives the ecu and idea of how to adjust the fuel delivery based on the other inputs

okay so that's 2 votes for new 02 sensor. maybe i'll just pickup both tomorrow (assuming they're in stock) and slap on 1 at a time to see which fixes it.

have you tried cleaning the maf before you replace it, they are about $200 bucks dude

well the tech took it out and looked at it, he said it looked normal LOL...whatever that means.

i think what i'll do tomorrow is just buy an o2 sensor and maybe get some MAF cleaner from PooP Boys.

where on the o2 is it taped? And what the tech did was probably look for any build up on the hot wire in the maf

basically all that i could see was tape...lol. i've had this CEL code going on and off for a while now, but it never affected the car performance before. so hopefully something as simple as replacing the o2 sensor will fix it. thanks for all your helps guys. i'm gonna head out to bed now.

if the metal has tape on it thats your problem right there. The o2 sensor has holes in the metal housing because (and this is a very loose and inaccurate description) it samples the air outside the sensor and compares it to the exhaust gas to arrive at the reading. If those holes are covered up it cant get a proper reading and is going to screw up the ECU bad.

That's why we're here man! Oh and to make fun of people in the process ;)

(iagree)

haha that explanation actually makes a lot of sense to me. i'll give you guys an update tomorrow!

i want to kick mine, my car dont hold coolant and i bought a new cap cuz the old one broke and it held it now this cap broke and its loosing it again, what the hell is wrong with my car?

i have know idea i was wondering if some of you knew why, its weird but they are always broke when i take them off, ill see parts of them in my rad and i have to pick them out

I dont know man... maybe a pic of the broke tab might explain whats going wrong or just try a better quailty cap.

I drove the car, at first it squeaked but as i drove it it went away. so it is definately my bushings and the lithium grease i sprayed on it yesterday did the trick. If it comes back i will have to take the uclamp off the bushing and spray the whole bushing. If it comes back after that I will just replace the bushing.

Bought new sway bar bushings again. Mazda is up to revision E on the bushings. They should just give up and go with Poly instead of rubber. Hopefully these teamed up with some synthetic grease will withstand the rain and salt from next winter, unlike my current ones with normal grease.
