What have you done to your MSP today?

^^^ Yep, I know that code all too well. It's just weird as the is just fine while moving and in boost and all and the idle is sound for the most part but it will stumble occasionally and the AFRs just shoot up real lean.

Did you do the install yourself? I'm curious because there was this little blue thing (I forget what it's called) that was inside the stock line - did you reuse this part or just toss it? I reused it but I think it's keeping me from clamping the hose end down all the way. I mean, the connection is tight and there are no leaks from what I can tell but I don't feel confident about it.

what are you clamping? they provide you with a feed (the braided one that has the fuel line end on it), and the return is your stock one. You shouldnt have to clamp or reuse old parts.

Well my Friend Alejo_NIN were the one who did my entire engine as well as the Perrin Fuel Rail, and later TBK did my Injector upgrade and tuning. so i really have no idea. i saw how Alejo did it, he just unplug the old fuel rail and putted the Perrin, I didnt notice anything special that he could of done to install the Perrin, just a straight bolt on..
Hmm, that's what I thought. After speaking with another member who said he removed that "little blue part" and said he could fully clamp his hose, I'm beginning to think I need to try that - the problem is going to be getting that pipe off now because if the clamp isn't holding it on, I don't know what is! If I can get the Perrin rail off I'm probably going to put the stock back on to see if the problem goes away. I'll try the Perrin rail again at a later point when I can buy all new o-rings and retainers for the injectors. Besides, I forgot I was going to put a fuel pressure gauge on the Perrin as well...

Put her in the garage because i cant afford to lose anymore tires. On monday I was driving to work and the road was being worked on (they had taken the road down in preperation of resurfacing. I did not know this all the sign said was unmarked pavement. next thing i know im stuck in a one lane formed by cones with a curb to my right trying to dodge upraised manhole covers and i could not avoid one completely and the rough edge of pavement around it sliced through my sidewall and gave me a flat (thanks to the tires having a rim saver my stock wheels are fine). had to buy a new tire. On saturday i was heading to the bank to get cash for vacation and when I came out my back right tire was flat. turns out i managed to find the one nail on the main road and get it lodged in my tire. Took it to mechanic and he cant fix it because the nail went into the top of the tire and out the sidewall so guess what, need another new tire. the b**** of it is the tires are only three weeks old at the most. this sucks, at least now i will have two brand new tires on the front

thats how i have it right now, for my Fuel Pressure gauge, is connected at the left end of the Perrin rail.. bro, I'm 100% is not the Perrin fuel rail, ive been using mine for the past 2 years since day 1 of my engine build and no problems.. you have another issue and is not the fuel rail... I even have big injectors 1000ccs and very very aggresive cams and the Perrin Fuel Rail and i dont have any problems at all, my iddle is perfect, i dont even have o2 Sensors or MAF anymore and not an issue.. you should check everything before removing the fuel rail,is a shame you take it off

I was referring the clamp-thingy that is at the end of the braided steel hose that Perrin include with the rail (they call it a "factory-type quick disconnect"). The stock hose had this little blue part in the connector. When I pulled the stock hose off the blue thing stayed there so I assumed it was supposed to. However, I was not able to fully "clamp" (push the one part up and then snap the other part over) the end of the Perrin hose and I think it might be because I left that little blue piece in there.

Yeah, I'm really hoping it's something stupid like a torn o-ring or broken spacer or that stupid little blue thing in the hose. Either way, I have to remove the rail so I might as well put the stocker back on to see if it fixes anything. I'm kind of hoping it doesn't because it really would be such a shame if I can't use this fine part (it looks so nice in there!).

not only looks nice, it does the job, the Perrin fuel rail is infinite better than the stock spaghetti one.. keep it bro. you have some other s*** going on. might be that little Blue peace from hell..

I'm seriously going to have to take a picture of this thing if I can ever get the line off. If anyone has a link to an online copy of the FSM I could easily point it out. Unfortunately protege5.ugly.net is no longer up and my copy of the FSM is at home.

i can always remove my engine cover and take some pictures of how my Perrin fuel hose looks like, and the quick connection s*** youve said.. believe me once again keep the Perrin, that is not the issue.. as soonest i get to my dads crib ill take those pics and post it for you to see, i know and i remember mine was easy on and off, i was able to disconnect that quick s*** even with no tools, just pure fingers..

Yeah I'm hoping I can still do that too - I just hope that blue thing didn't jam something up. I know how the disconnect is supposed to work but it's just odd that I can't snap anything down and that somehow it's still on there tight as ever.

Well I received my 2 12'' slim fans from siliconeintakes.com. They are 1600 CFM, and look great! Now I'm just waiting on my PWR Radiator to get here, which was shipped today.

these thread is coming back, is very nice to see and hear that toys, lots of toys are rolling again.... Simple question why PWR instead of the Corksport ?

guys i have some basic mods on my msp. Fmic, intake, wastgate, SSAFC V1, AEM wideband, 2.5 cat less mid pipe and J pipe, and a boost gauge. what do you all think i should do next? i was thinking of rasing the boost to 9 psi cause im at stock levels now? what would you all do?

what is your goal with the car. that dictates what you should do.

well i dont want to mess s*** up, by making too much power such as slinging rod bearing but i know there is a risk.

well, ive seen em blow at stock boost so its hard to say but i say with the mods u have and a 11.5afr tune you should be fine with 10 psi. but just realize it could go.

i run 10 now and i love it.
