What have you done to your MSP today?

Not to mention kicker had 9.0:1 compression, I'll be 8.5:1
9.0:1 is fine at 11 psi. I've been told by several people that you really don't need to go down to 8.5:1 unless you're shooting for 16 psi and higher. Help me out here Ryan...

lol to tell you the truth i was told by a vendor on this site unless i was going to be running over 20psi to stick to the stock compression pistons. this vendor also told me he hates his 8.5:1 pistons that he has in his motor and he would rathe run less boost and make more power. im going with stock compression pistons and a thicker HG.

im running 8.8 compression and it feels identical to stock out of boost.

you running stock compression with a thicker head gasket to get that number? tbh that was the number i was going to try to end up with thats what the stock evo compression is

I have Aries 8.5:1 Pistons, Pauter rods and custom thick cometic head gasket TBK putted to lower the compression to 8.1:1, and i dont have any problems at all on low boost, and much less in hi boost

I swear i doesnt... i have 9 psi on low boost and 20 or 22 psi on hi boost, i dont remember. ive been with out my car since the last stuff tbk did since september 2007

no no, i mean out of boost does it feel sluggish.

thats the problem with this forum (probably most in general), everyone says something different. like some say that 8.5 is not sluggish, some say 8.5 is sluggish, you say 8.1 isnt sluggish, and it continues!

90mm is 3.5 inches i dont think its that thick lol

well do your search.. cometic makes 60mm, 90mm and custom.. i know TBK lowered the compression to get more boost into the engine, we were seeking 30 psi +. but then you know what happened and we broke relationship, last stuff they did was add 1000cc injectors, adjustable cam gears, a more aggressive street tune and methanol injection,. and raise the boost from 15 to 22 psi.. thats the last stuff tbk did, and i was already here, so i really dont know how does the car feels right now, ill have to wait another month a a half to find out.. according to alejo that went to pick up my car at tbk with my dad to drive it home, he told me the car was even more scary than before and lot faster, so i cant freaking wait to have my car in my handsssssssssss. goshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh almost another 8 months without my car. i waited 8 months for tbk to build it. now another 8. thats 16 months without it... I'm going insane !!!

what exactly do you mean out of boost ? i mean every car in here is a completely different story with different stuff done to it. thats why some say yes, and some say no. i guess

remember i have the engine head completely done, custom cams, bigger valves, 5 angle valve job, port and polish, adjustable cam gears, 626 ported intake mani, etc.. the car dont feel sluggish at all. i just need to take the car to a dyno and re-tune it again to be able to get 30 psi+ on methanol and most likely race gas. but i really doubt I'm going to do that. the way i left my car at 15 psi without the stuff mentioned tbk recently did it was insane, i cant imagine how does it feels now with 7 psi more, and a better tune and meth... i just cant wait men, too much time without my car, by the time i get it back ill have to learn how to turn it on... Jesus..

miguel im sorry but there is no way they make a ******* 90mm headgasket thats bigger then out ******* throttle body think man. go get a ruler and look how big 3.5" is then tell me you have a 90mm head gasket its just not possible lol.

cometic sells 90mm head gaskets. search for it. and they even make it custom if you need something thicker...why should i lie to you Ryan ? also im not saying i have a 90mm installed in my car, all i know the pistons were 8.5:1 and tbk lowered the compression to 8.1:1

miguel im not even going to answer just please go get a tape measurer or a ruler and look how big 3 and a half inches is then come back to me and tell me your head gasket is that thick

i agree everyone has something different done to their car.

you dont drive with the turbo spooled up 24/7, do you?! Out of boost means in vacuum like you are driving a N/A protege.
