What have you done to your MSP today?

re did my gauge wiring. left a bit more wire so I can use a dual gauge cluster in the future if one ever pops ups for sale at a nice price

@SeR: even with the bad pics it looks like you got good flow. You should definitely finish it off when the paint has cured more. I'm jealous for sure as my bumper cover looks like s*** from 80K worth of road wars. Subbin for the better pics. Good job!

Whelp.....traded her in today for an MS3. Just couldn't keep up with the unreliable nature of the MSP. Problem after problem has taken a toll on my wallet (and yes, I took the best care of it that I could).

Well you couldn't beat the deal I got either. My car was in terrible shape ($4500 on trade in, which was pretty good); and got into a 07 MS3 GT with 44k for $13500 (before trade in, taxes, etc). Hell of a deal....couldn't pass it up. Loved the car, but unreliability was killing me.

****. I think you're the 3rd person to ditch their MSP in the past...2 weeks?

Our cult is dwindling.

I've often thought about trading mine in on something a little less troublesome. I've had nothing but issues with my MSP since I purcahsed it. The previous over beat the ever living s*** out of it and traded it in in piss poor shape... So far is gettign back up to its orig runnign condition and runnign a hell of a lot better then when I got it but if I had known I was going to have all of these issues. I would of stuck with my old auto p5 and rebuilt the autotrans instead of trading it in.

Sounds exactly like what happened to me also. I've managed to fix a lot of the problems, and it was still having issues. Not to mention I had just surpassed the 100k mile mark, so just about anything could have gone wrong if I kept it.

LOL I hear ya dude. I could rattle off a list of problems I inherited with the MSP (unknowingly of course)... but to put it simply, I probably would have been better off just slapping a turbo kit on my Spec V, and so would my wallet.

Yeah, its a serious money pit. Only had the car for a little over a year and easily dumped $3000 into it.

If i knew what i know about these cars a year ago when i traded my white p5 in for the msp, i probably would have held onto it. but i've been lucky. My msp hasn't needed anything done to it since i got it other than change the oil.
I kinda drive it like a madman sometimes too so im surprised i haven't popped it the way some of you guys go off about how big a peice of s*** it is ha ha.
the only way id trade i think is if i could find a ms6 in great condition.

I've spent like 4.5k give or take a few hundred in the past 1.5yrs. I still need to take care of the entire suspenion(structs, f&R sway bar bushings), motor mounts, exhuast leak(axel back, on my 4th set of exhuast hangers(these should be giving any time now).... not to mention fixing other little stuff here and their. I expect the turbo to go out next.... 88K currently.

p5's seem to be way more expensive than msp's from what i see lol. it makes me wonder

i've only driven mine like once this month, its just sitting there with half the interior apart. the ecu is sitting on the floor in a plastic bag. lol

i was thinking about trading it in, but i like not having a car payment, and there's still plenty of stuff i'd like to do to it. just gotta get this ****** leak fixed

still haven't found the leak?

i haven't had any trouble with mine, except for sway bar bushings
