What have you done to your MSP today?

oh yeah i think im do for a new driver side cv axle. where can i get one cheap? mazda wants $357 at the dealer and $315 online. and i need to do endlinks, and ball joints. then an alignment. none of those are real pressing matters. minus the axle of course. and ill be needing to do my brakes soon.

i've heard mixed reports of the standard axel fitting and not fitting.. I believe it may have just been installer issues with the retaining clip on the axel side of the shaft.. but I have no personal experience with it myself... I'm hoping to find a decently priced one at some point here. right now I'm not worried about it because the WGA is the larger concern. lol

Got the Greddy type s rad cap today. So the rad will go in soon. Im going to be selling the CS exhaust soon. Gotta get some of these things out of my garage.

the auto axles are different than the protege/msp axles.. as in, will not fit in the trans at all.

the msp and protege axle THICKness is different.. they will fit(interchange) with each other though.

When you have your axles replaced be patient and have yours rebuilt. I always have and have never had any issues. Just mark them and ask them not to paint them, also they have that unique odd green color.

+1 that is the best way to go and you know they will fit properly when you put them back in. After having one bad experience with a supplier giving me the wrong axles and ruining my transaxle as result, that is what I will do. And after whipping the suppliers team of lawyers in court I enjoyed my $3,000 check from them. (yes)

well i may just try to order a new one if i can find a place that has the right one. is the msp ones the only one that is green? and ould i just measure the diameter of the axle itself? to determine if its the right one. ive pulled my axles out before. its not to labor intensive. and also who would rebuild the axle if i desided to go that route? would it be like a transmission shop?

weight too. You can tell the difference too in your arms. They are decently heavier in weight as well. I found that out a while ago.

I had to replace mine and I got them from that Jack-a$$ you know I hate so dearly..... Mr. they never made a MP3 (I made that up) and MSP are just body kits.
