What have you done to your MSP today?

Today I waxed my new CF hood for the fourth time since I got it. I am hoping to buildup a heavy coating of wax so that if rocks hit the hood it wont do too much damage! Plus winter is coming and car washing/cleaning season is coming to an end soon!

Do you know how much it cost on average to take a diff out and have it welded then reinstalled?

No clue.. But its really not that hard to get your diff out though.. Thats the easiest part in all of it.. The hardest is getting everything back in.. The back mount is a b**** to line up..

First time I did it, took me ~1 hr to get all the bolts in finally..

hmm ive been thinking about doing the welded lsd when i get a new clutch...dont know if i should buy a new lsd already welded or just weld the one in the car..its a b**** to get into reverse but i think thats more the clutch or synros..

placed 28 out of 51 in a tougher than usual group for autox. seems nothing but the die hard veterans are out there these days. i placed 3rd in SM.

car did great, i seemed to finally find the right tire pressure. i still rolled the tires over a couple times but that was my error, not the tires.

almost s*** my pants while riding shotgun with Justin^ at the autoX. You drove the wheels off that thing dude, well done.

it's worth it, especially if you are already gonna take the Tranny off the car. You can weld the stock, just clean it up real good.

I'm a dummy, I had my diff replaced by mazda under warranty but didn't get it welded..

yeah but if you did it under warranty they wouldnt weld it for you and i doubt they would do it under warranty if you had it welded somewhere else. Well actually it depends on where you got it done. Some places are more lenient than others.

So....what would the best spark plugs be for me?

CS exhaust, injen intake are my only mods (lol i know sad). My boost usually holds at 7.5-8 psi

What should they be gapped at?

As I mentioned in this thread, I went with NGK ZFR7F plugs as recommended by JDMSam. I gapped them at 0.030" and they have worked great for me. (See sig for mods.) My gas mileage is better than before. (thumb)

Yeah, they're one step colder. Seems like you're pushing slightly-higher-than-stock boost, and you're in Florida, so yes I think 1 step colder would be good.
