What have you done to your MSP today?

its yellow said replacing sucks... greasing may shut em up, but obviously its a temporary solution.

yup... i finally got around to replacing the second one. more of a pain in the ass than anything i've done to my car. the good news is that it did quiet and steady the front end. getting a greasable bushing/bracket would be nice, but then good luck getting a grease gun in there! the only tip i have for install is to trim down the raised edges of the bushing toward the bottom sides where the bracket meets the bolts. makes it fit easier/better since the bracket actually flares out toward the ends. outside of that, just be prepared for a few scraped knuckles and lots of cursing!

Tougher than installing a new WGA? That was a pain in the ass for me! That said, I've done just about everything else to a Protege (pulled engines, full suspension, etc, etc) so in the infamous words of Top Gear, "How hard could it be?"

My buddy has a lift so if someone has pics or a how-to, I might get crackin on it when I gots moniez.

Greased mah bushings over the weekend. Now I've get a loud popping noise over uneven pavement. I intend to re-check the screws when I have some extra time.

The noises got real nasty on the drive home yesterday, so I got under the car in the cold and the semi-darkness. Lowa and behold, thre of the four screws on the braces were working their way back out. I intend to hit them with some thread-lock this weekend...

another great update from me:

while driving the afc came falling down from its place on the footboard, doulbe sided tape ftl. it seems that something came loose as i hit full boost 3 times and got a 10.0 reading on the wideband, where as after installing the afc i got 11.6

Started my vactionj today with 2 tickets! Fun fun 1 for tint on front windows(to dark and costed me 83 bucks) and the other for doing 54 in a 45! Now heres the stupid part for you guys, half a block down the road the speed limit is 55 on alrignton expressway... no stop lights or anything on this road.

I didn't think you could get penalized unless it was greater than 10mph. Pulled over yes, but not fined. Maybe this is just Ohio? I swear I remember being taught this is Drivers Ed.

He may have been going faster and the cop lowered the speed to cut him a break since he already ***** him on the tint

in WI you can be fined for 1mph over... just no cop will waste his time doing it.

you msp's just look like you are doing so much faster!

lol

if you live in detroit, you can go as fast as you want. the cops are too busy with people killing each other to care. even on the interstates isnt too bad because there are so few state troopers.

Here in Texas, 5 mph over will typically get you a ticket. 10 mph will get you a ticket from a cop with a bad attitude.

theres a 2$ leway they give you on your speed, because they say the speed devices arnt 100%, they are 99.9%, so a 5mph ticket can be fought and won easly.

Ive done it already. LOL

+1, or you see them state troopers racing down city road for no reason and detroit cops no where near detroit so they cant do much anyway
