today, I went and looked at it lol. Looks so ssad sitting out back in the car tent. Can't wait for the snow to **** off so I can rip the msp again!
Today, I fixed the fiasco that occurred yesterday.
The bolt that secures the lower control arm to the bottom of the strut fell off or broke while driving up to the post office. The car felt a little shaky, but I was able to limp it off the road into the parking lot. Grinds to a halt, get out and look at the passenger side, and the wheel is completely jammed up into the fender. Won't move an inch. Got it towed home and put it on stands, and I feel like I really dodged a bullet here. Everything slid right back into place, popped in a new grade 10.9 stainless bolt and loctited the sucker on there. Dropped it down, and it shockingly doesn't even need an alignment. Romped it up and down the street a few times to make sure it was all solid, all is well.
Worst bit of damage is a nice gouge on the backside of the brake rotor where the pin on the control arm ground into it. It was about time to do some brake upgrades anyway, so oh well to that I guess.
When I first saw the wheel jammed up in there like that, I was seeing $$$$ signs. Really relieved that it was fixed so easily.
Glad to hear your ok firstly, but also glad it was a cheap fix.
1. Color. The higher the K the more blue and less light output you get (12k is really purple with very low light output compared to the 4k which is white and very bright)
2. As far as i know they are a ticketable offense. Im under the impression that if it didnt come with it they can ticket you. The reason being most kits are just bolt on and the housings themselves are not made for HID so they dont direct the light properly and can be unsafe oncoming drivers by blinding them.
3. The more blue they are, the better chance you have of getting pinched by the jake. Id stay under 6k if your area is strict. plus as i mentioned, the higher you go the lower the lumens (light output).

I just installed a pair of 6k apexcones on my little bro's honda civic. they look great. barely a blue hue and bright as all hell lol
on my way home from RI my fuel feed line decided to pop off the fuel rail. Lemme tell you how bad that sucks no the highway at 75mph in 16 degree weather.
it held for 3 years, dunno why it came off now. Its not the stock line cause i gave that to someone when i had my perrin rail but it was on there tight. Im just glad it didnt catch fire, the gas was ALL over the place, even the turbo so i was waiting for it to flare up and i couldnt do a damn thing about it. I would have died if my baby burned. Im going to start carrying a small extinguisher in the car for such events.
