What have you done to your MSP today?

No M3? Boo... I know it's still a s*** ton faster than the MSP but I am all for suped up ver. of regular cars. Granted the MSP is my first to ever fit in that category. I suppose it's a nice car though. Definitely an upgrade. Net get the hell out of the Mazda forums!!!

car seemed real nice. the 4th gear pull seemed better than before.

Nothing other than the manifold? Did you turn up the boost any while you had it off to play with the WGA? It would flow even better at higher boost, I would imagine.

Is that stuff really as good as people say?

I used it in my civic back in the day and noticed a slight difference (1/4 mile time was a tenth faster). But that was on an n/a car also. I figured I'd give it a shot and see how well I like it. I definitely don't like the price though ($9/qt, and $12/qt for the tranny oil). lol

that sucks.... nice and warm down here! no snow for us floridians. (wiggle)

wow do i miss that. i lived in JAX, St Augustine area for 5 years then moved away. boy do i miss the warm weather all the time.

o and next on the agenda for me is ARP exhaust Manifold Studs/Bolts.

Today, I fixed the fiasco that occurred yesterday.

The bolt that secures the lower control arm to the bottom of the strut fell off or broke while driving up to the post office. The car felt a little shaky, but I was able to limp it off the road into the parking lot. Grinds to a halt, get out and look at the passenger side, and the wheel is completely jammed up into the fender. Won't move an inch. Got it towed home and put it on stands, and I feel like I really dodged a bullet here. Everything slid right back into place, popped in a new grade 10.9 stainless bolt and loctited the sucker on there. Dropped it down, and it shockingly doesn't even need an alignment. Romped it up and down the street a few times to make sure it was all solid, all is well.

Worst bit of damage is a nice gouge on the backside of the brake rotor where the pin on the control arm ground into it. It was about time to do some brake upgrades anyway, so oh well to that I guess. :)

When I first saw the wheel jammed up in there like that, I was seeing $$$$ signs. Really relieved that it was fixed so easily.
