What have you done to your MSP today?

Wow. Good to hear it wasn't too bad.

Yeah, the pin/socket connection luckily held until I was barely barely creeping in the parking lot at a snails pace. I heard it start to grind and immediately stopped. If this same thing had happened 3 streets over (on I-40 at 75-80mph), all I can say is bye bye msp#119 and good luck to 505zoom. (ughdance)

Damn. Well like you said, its a good thing you weren't on the highway, and that everything (you and the car) turned out ok. (2thumbs)

did the 1.8 coil pack conversion also hooked up my split second Air/Fuel controller

My exhaust is all screwed up, my fault really.

Got a catless midpipe that I'm now reasonably sure was actually for a P5, which pulled the axelback forward, placing too much stress on the axelback-muffler joint, that joint broke and the muffler is just kinda hanging around, though the pipe still runs into the muffler. Looks awful from the back. Curiously, no louder than before.

Need to get it to a shop ASAP. That middie needed a highflow cat put into it anyway so I can pass emissions...

^^^ The midpipes have the same overall dimensions on all Proteges. The only difference is that the MSPs have two cats on the midpipe whereas the Sedans/P5s only have one. Of course, not all midpipes are made well so that could be what you've run into.

how does your splitsecond install feel...pulls harder???...overall impression...what did u think of the install ...difficulties?..what map are u running

my buddy did the install didn't take him to long running a custom map i made pulls a lot better plus you can retard timing which is great

installed 1 HID.... waiting for replacement bulb at the post office to do the other side... So it looks pretty stupid right now.... but... worth it. Tomorrows supposed to be colder and doing this in the apartment parking lot sucks!

Here is a silverstar vs 6000K HID....

Question. I want to do an HID kit (which is why I bought base model Sylvania's for my current blown bulb). I was going to get Silverstars or Cool Blues but I heard they burn fast and I don't want to pay 50 bucks every couple of months for friggin' light bulbs when HID kits can easily be had for around 150 or so. Here are my questions...

1. What is the difference between the x,000K's (ie 6000K's, 8000K's, etc)?
2. Would HID's be illegal on a car that didn't originally come with them?
3. Are there a certain type of x,000K that is "more illegal" or just plain illegal versus the other?
