What have you done to your MSP today?

a good first question nobody asked is what kind of boost gauge do you have. If the gauge reads in PSI in both boost and vacuum that reading is generally correct.
+1 This is a very good point that I did not pick up on. Although I will have to admit, I have never seen a boost gauge give vacuum numbers in psi.

i think i may have seen gauges that do this (its really just a matter of how the scale on the gauge is setup) but i know my old greddy profec E-01 read positive and negative PSI

Mods:Injen CAI from Pro. Garage
Carbon Fiber Hood
Ebay Exhaust
2psi spring fix
resonator removal
Boost and AF Gauge
aftermarket rims
BOV
and midevil front mount on the way

are you running the dual setup? (bov and bpv) does your BOV at least recirculate? I'm not expert on the msp yet but this could be causing your problem if you are running a BOV only. I think that makes sense, however if I'm wrong anyone can feel free to correct me.

So how are you people who have vac blocks running them? Do you have each source using its own line (ie: 1 for the wga, 1 for the bov, 1 for the boost gauge, etc..)? Im about to install mine and Im not sure which ones to source off individually..

I hear a lot of people do 1 to BOV, 1 to BPV (in dual setup), boost gauge. you leave the WGA alone on the IM

Threw P0171 again randomnly today (Bank 1 System too lean). I don't get it. Over the past month or two I've had this code randomly pop on only to go away in a day or so. I went driving around today for about 30 minutes after I noticed the CEL and everything looks and runs completely normal. AFRs are right where they should be at 14.7:1. This is getting very annoying...

EDIT: Oh yeah, also burned a s***-ton of oil on the way to and from OH apparently. Exhaust even has that oil burning smell to it. Why is my car falling apart all the sudden?!

Yeah, already cleaned the MAF but it didn't look dirty at all. I will check the sparkplugs some day when it isn't raining. I was reading that some people changed their coils/plugs/wires and the problem went away so I guess I'll have to check that.

im running both, bpv and bov, and ive got a glowshift gauge and i believe it is in psi both ways.

Does the smell catch up to you at stops or something? Is it smoking out the exhaust?

I got a plastic bag stuck to my downpipe last week, there must still be some of it on there because I smell burnt plastic everytime I hit a light with the windows down.

The smell catches up to me when stopped but it's always done that. I don't know how to explain it because there is definitely a difference in exhaust smell when burning oil and not (ask Ryan). CEL is still on and the car is still running just fine. I was hoping by just driving around it would clear itself. I guess I'll have to give it until the weekend when I can inspect the spark plugs. Hopefully I won't have to wait that long or the code will just clear itself.

LOL yes between mine and jon's car we have lerned how to distinguish between the smells of your exhaust when its rich, burning oil, coolant ect. lol

I did that with the GHL. it burns down to this hard plastic stuff that u cannot get off for the life of you. You just have to wait it out. Mine smelled for a month.

So how can you tell if an injector is clogged? Can you swap around injectors because I'm considering switching the cylinder 1 injector with another to see if the problem persists. I would think that by moving the injector and it's bad it would cause a different CEL (Bank 2 System to lean). Does this make sense?
