What have you done to your MSP today?

When adjusting a forge or the oem wga do you make it longer or shorter to increase the boost? I do have a ebc but when I looked at the oem vs atp one my oem was much shorter and still gave me about 7psi.
 
its a ground for the coils as far as i know i had thye wire break and it mad my car run like ass]



you and stealth need to have a talk. he has the same issue and the common thing is the forge wga. he denies it though

Is it the adjustable one? I had nothing but problems with that thing. Forge said it was my fault but when i put the ATP on there it held boost just fine. My forge would NOT hold boost steady, it would waiver and spike. awful. I even put a note in the guide i made on here about it and that was in '08

My forge holds or did hold boost before my 3" dp just fine. I get boost creep something bad since the 3" dp and 3" catless midpipe. Boost creep is NOT to be confused with boost spike. ATP is crap in my eyes and i've had more ATP wastegates on my car then tires and i change my tires yearly just about. now I will ay my forge did spike something feirce when i first installed it but its almost like it had to break in because a few days later its fine.

The more preload(shorter rod) the more boost you wil be running. I set my forge with little to no preload what so ever and it was fine.

Guess im the opposite. My atp has been completely reliable and the forge wouldnt work. tried everything, even new springs and rebuilt it.
 
Yeah so my CEL must have turned on as I was warming up my car to go to work... Stupid question, that wouldn't be cuz of my pads being gone right...? Last time that turned on was when I was having miss fires and I got all new coil overs, coil packs and wires and sparks plugs and it hasn't turned in since.....
 
only if you do a whole axle back, I wouldn't cut into the racingbeat so you can go back if you don't like the sound or sell it if you do

Could I put a cherry bomb on the car with a ebay special muffler...? Idk if that's a good idea or not lol
 
You could. It'll sound like crap tho. That's what I did with my Civic a couple years back when money was tight and an exhaust was needed.

To update you on the Civic (as well as take this thread a little off topic): It's now my DD again. I'm getting another exhaust, and I've fixed all the little stupid stuff that plagued it before.

CEL code ; P0171 , engine running to lean... Prob causes ; low fuel pressure , large vacum leak, dirty MAF, engine mechanical condition ......
 
Well the timing belt snapped the other day and had to have the car towed, they messed up my Chargespeed lip a little.. And I installed the SLS passenger mount, I keep forgetting to make signs for the front motor mount I'm selling

I'm talking about the piping that goes over your axle and bolts the exhaust.

Let me be the first to say. Start saving for another pass side mount and throw that sls s*** in the trash. I had one fail on me big time.
 
Looks like no engineering went into that mount at all. If you did a simple FEA analysis on the computer of that thing, it would probably show huge deflection.
