What have you done to your MSP today?

Idk it seems to help a lot, the same for the front, plus I got a really good deal. Not too into the whole ziptie look with the inserts either. I have no complaints so far, when I have some I'll let you know, but thanks for all the compliments assholes:)

Seriously I would get my money back if I were you. I would rather keep the broken stock mount than that flimsy looking POS.

Wow so much hate.. Where's all the love? Lol like I said if I have problems I'll have to swap it of course, until then I don't have any complaints.

Bought and am about to install an Autometer wideband...

Got my new radiator today. Though the tech at my work that was going to install it had to leave early because his wife had a baby this weekend and she was being released from the hospital. I could just rip it apart in the garage with my dad since we installed slim fans about a year ago... but he's painting the walls. If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

I think people are just wanting to look out for you man. I agree with the other guys that the SLS mount does not look like it will hold up. There's not enough structure there if the engine wants to go sideways. The shaft of the SLS mount will end up flexing, which it does not look like it was designed to do. When the shaft flexes it will fatigue the metal until it fails/busts in half. It will likely work fine for a while, but it is something that is a potential problem area in the future... especially considering that another member or two have had those mounts break. I think the question you need to ask yourself is are you okay with driving with a part that will likely fail? If that mount goes out on you, the drivers-side mount will receive and an upward load of the engine wanting to rotate around the long axis of the car. That mount can handle it for a bit, but the front and rear mounts will have extra downward loads on them too. That's a lot of stress on mounts that you probably don't want to have to replace.

We/I just don't want you to potentially end up stranded somewhere because we/I didn't take the time to warn you of an inherent danger to the part you are using. I know after I take the time to install something I want to hope it's going to work right... but just because it cost me time and money to install it, I would rather have a good part on my car. I've gone the cheap route in the past, but now I'm in it for the long term.

Well thank you for your input, I do see what you're saying about the structure, I actually thought part of the stock bracket mounted to it as well but it didn't, I think I might try and fab a piece, or customize the stock bracket to fit up with the SLS; I already looked into it and it only seems like it's a little off to do

I like the idea of adding some metal to the side of the SLS mount (triangle shape, small at top, wide @ bottom) from the top down to the base in order to reinforce it. Maybe in an H beam sort of way...?

Yeah I was thinking that, either one of them wouldn't be hard to do, plus I could get my gf's dad's shop to do a quick weld for me, I'll see what I can come up with, probably will be a little while though, but def came to my attention

No one was being a dick to you. Everyone was expressing how bad the mount is. If that thing doesn't crack or completely fail in the next year, I'll be so ******* surprised. Whatever 5 year old kid drew up the plans for it should be put in time out.

Notice the difference between shootz comments and everyone else's?:) big difference lol. But I get the point, I'm gonna try and conjur something up for it. And it's not like I don't have the stock mount to put back on immediately if it breaks. And IF that happens, I can order an AWR or whatever.

LOL! Joe Blow's Custom Fab Inc.

We are all big boy's and girl's here, no need to sugar coat the truth :)

Well I'm glad you're sugar-free lol, I was just kinda expecting some more constructive criticism not so much bashing lol, I obviously jumped on the hot price and was in a daze, you can't tell me no one else hasnt done the same. I mean I think it will be ok atleast for a little while, until I figure what I'm gonna do.

SPEAKING of being a big boy, go do the ******* radiator yourself! you don't need your dad or a mechanic. it's CAKE!

lol. so, go be a big boy!

Don't give me your s***. If I had access to my garage, you bet your ass I would be in there right now working on it lol. It's a little cold (and dark) to do it outside, but there have been many times when I worked on my car in the driveway right until and sometimes after dark haha.

Nobody is bashing you, we are bashing SLS' design and there bad looking mount, realize the difference already.
