What have you done to your MSP today?

That sucks man. Least yours ran. When mine went to such low compression my car wouldn't even idle. I ended up picking a motor with half the miles(115k instead of 230k) and my car runs much better. So if you can find a cheap low mileage motor you could just do that instead of having to pull everything out. Did you test the rings?

Changed in a new T-stat and ditched the crap tastic 160 degree failsafe one. I now have a 170 degree one from napa and so far so good. I still need to clear my t stat codes...

a rock the size of a ******* tennis ball bounced from the car in front of me (nissan cube) and smacked the front of my 03.5 lip and made a nice crack/mark on my way to work this morning! AWESOME!!!! it then flew 4-5 feet in the air, almost causing the car in the right lane to crash cause he swerved to avoid it.

but then the sunrise was kinda cool when i got in, so i took this pic:

(can't see the damage there really)

Ok, so for this P0660 (VICS circuit malfunction), does anyone know the part number for this piece? It's one of those green or white plugs by the IM right?

It's probably the actual solenoid and those are on like every protege and 626 ever. Just go to the local salvage yard and pull one for $5 otherwise their like $100 from the dealer. I know that one is always on the vacuum line to the fuel pressure reg. on almost every FS engine.

+1 or just ask fatti as im sure he has one or will have one shortly. I cashed my solenoid issue for awhile refusing getting a new one. Turns out it on its way out or going bad

I love the Miata wheels on these cars!

Ya biz your car is perf.

Looking good biz

thanks guys!

just bought new tires yesterday (kumho ecsta 4x)... cost me $445/shipped to my door. also get a free $50 pre-paid visa card. so technically i paid $395 for a set of 4 tires... can't beat that. i've had kumho ecsta ASX on the miata wheels/previous set of racingharts for almost 2.5 years - so i would highly recommend kumho tires to anybody who DDs their MSP, and doesn't want to blow 600+ on tires! from my experience, i'd say they are better than toyo proxes and continental "extremecontact"... the toyo's i had back on my mp3 randomly would get sidewall bubbles. the continentals were nice, but they wore down pretty fast... (about 9-10 months)

+1 on the kumhos. I've had my ASX's for about 3 years, and I've got the 4X's in my shopping cart to finally replace them.

$40. i love creamery tire! this place around me is insanely cheap and always does great work...

and since they specialize in tires - it's sick! they jack your car up and have 6 guys working on it at once like a nascar pitstop or something.

when i bought the ASX and put them on my racingharts, i also had my old continentals put on to a spare set that i ended up selling... total? $55. time? > 30 min.

today i went to install my speed6 brakes but looks like rock auto sent me regular 6 brakes. not a very happy camper :/

if you keep the sunlight in that direction the damage isnt noticable...:) worse is an object like that hitting your windshield.

I put ecstas on everything. MSP, MX5 and the CX7. Great tires for the price.

Yeah but windshield is easier and cheaper to replace than an 03.5 lip.

I think I will look into Kumhos when I need tires which is soon. I had Ecstas on my 94 Cobra and after 300 miles one of them disintegrated and the entire tread of the tire separated and rolled down the road in front of me after I pulled over.

On a side note car is running fine however I had an air freshener with oil in it and apparently the oil leaked out and ate away some of the silver paint on the radio surround, pissed me the **** off.

The next tires going on my MSP are Hankook V12s. Been rocking them on the S2000 and love them. Cant beat them for the price.

Yeah,so I'm thinking about blowing up my MSP, that engine light just loves to come out and play way to much and make my car drive like the biggest pile of s***... it flickers for like a min, and feels like the car is just gunna give out and stall out... then when its solid its fine..... the front drivers side suspention squeeks now going over speed bumps, the car decides to shack like crazzy when it feels like it (need 2 motor mounts and a trans mount as well) Need a new mid-pipe/cat... and it only has 65k and ive only had it for 3 mounths.... and ready to blow the thing up already.... Good thing ive started to get all these aftermarket performance parts for it... prob wont last for me to put them on..... (well alright, im done venting about that now....)
