I dont think the cap will help that, from the diagram i saw, its left off quite often, and that lower chamber is sealed from the piston, its just there to push the seat up faster.

thats the diagram, and its consistant with other installs i read about. that lower nipple shouldnt be sucking in air at all. unless you have a faulty valve?
or maybe a black fabric marker might do the trick. hmmm

not a fan of the bootless...
Ding Ding Ding. I think you've figured it out emespea. I took my BOV apart last night and the diaphragm is shot. Has been for quite some time. I bought off a buddy of mine who didn't realize that it was bad. I'll be looking around today for a replacement diaphragm.

Weight reduction, y0! (eyeballs)
Does the height of the shifter look odd?
The shifter cover idea has just gotten neglected for other things. I may just make a quick boot out of some plaid material I have (planning on doing the headliner & door inserts eventually)... I already traded my old shift boot for a Medievel Dead Pedal, lol.![]()
Row that boat....that is a longassshifter!
it does look kinda high but could be the angle.
Small update. Got the intercooler in and plumbing is almost done:
