What have you done to your MSP today?

pretty big difference with kartboy shifter, bushings, and coksport bronzeoil bushings. pretty happy with it. shifter is shorter in both height and throw than the stocker. used to be in damians car btw
 
Gonna give this a try, heard nothing but good things and being a local company figured Id check it out. a friend runs it on her eclipse and swears by it. so we shall see!

hmm, alcohol injection, that suppose to be similar to meth injection, or am i way off?..

also I've been searching for about 2 hours around for FMIC kits to find one that goes through the frame and not the cai area, the kits that come all packages up for you like the cs or vibrant pipe kit are not tooo bad, pretty expensive but also quick question, have you guys heard anything different about. say the Garrett IC compared to a universal one from like here..http://www.siliconeintakes.com/index.php?cPath=7&osCsid=b1b7b20907c36ea7b479ab407bafcdbb although there different sizes than ones from (*some place*),(woops, didn't know they got banned, never heard anything about that.. so nvm sorry mods, didn't know) I dono, its a big difference in price.. it doesn't really matter too much since I won't be doing this for a while, I just keep thinking of when I will eventually do my engine build with rods/pistons, GT28rs and FMIC.. I just wish I had done the FMIC first with the amount of money I've spent on the SMIC/pipes/new couplers+Tbolts, then fixing the coldpipe after guy screwed up the weld.. buttt... oh well, hopefully I'll have a job sometime next year that I will actually make real money in and start doin some fun stuff to the car.. until then.. I'll just dream

but seriously anyone have any quick suggestions for which FMIC kit and core size they like the most with not turbo lag change, and that is relatively cheap, and if your running the GT28rs or something like that, not too small for heatsoak... I don't want a long response or any debates going on, just a quick suggestion of some names so it's not taking up space.. my heads gone wondering lol

the only fmic that used the cai hole was the mam. the rest dont (kinetic/ion, coksport, perrin/turbolife, etc)
 
I've got a Garrett core and it is pretty massive. I bought it from Kicker so you can check out his thread to see the pics. He had the piping custom made but I think it runs similar to the Hiboost kit. Overall I think it is a good setup and it is runs pretty smooth with new Vibrant couplers and T-bolts.

yeah i think there are a bunch that dont use the hole.actually finding one might be tough but..what isnt on these. saw a turbo..somthing one on the FS: that isnt using the hole but why not just go with a shortram?

and you sir are correct. you would be suprised all the different things u can use with the setup. in all reality windex contains alcohol so.. you could use your exisiting windshield washer tank fill it with windex and bam! who says i cant still clean my windshield

I'd spray meth on my windshield before I'd put windex in my engine.
 
put in new sway bar endlinks i bought from hkpro5. so far so good. give em a few more days of play and we'll see.

don't like it, cooler charges is where it's at lol, I don't like the shortrams, and I already have a CAI, and I already put the cutout at the bottom of the mudgaurd to act like a air scoop going to the cai filter.. but mainly because I like the cooler air coming in, you'd be surprised how cold the hot pipe is when it's cool out when having a cai with the air scoop cut out thing I did.. it's like luke warm temp or something like that for hotpipe sometimes, and the cold pipe is actually cold..it's a nice difference since I put that cutout near the cai filter last year, I like it

in theory. not saying windex would or will be my method of choice but..id spring for a jd lip before puting a home depot garden accessory on my front end. it doesnt mean it cant be done. with somthing like windex the evaporation rate is so swift i dont think it would be an issue. old school windex none of the fancy "lets go green" style stuff.
 
^^ you talking about using windex in the windshield wiper fluid reservoir for a DIY IC spray kinda thing?.. I was thinking about that, I just use water for now since I don't have sprayer in the CF hood.. it's nice I just have to figure out which wire I need to cut to stop the wipers from going when I use the spray thing..

I agree with ya. I sacrficed my CAI to go with a short ram set up. but I also got tired of the endless search for a FMIC that could actually be delivered to my door without an "item not available" tag on it or just order it and wait a month to get the word they didnt have it. in the future ill just build my own and go back to the CAI

yeah its my understanding ( keep in mind this thing is still sitting in its box lol)
that u can just use that tank and the system will automatically inject with the set start boost, say 4 and dump the full spray at whatever you set max boost at, say 10. you wouldnt ever activate it yourself so shouldnt set off your wipers

ahh I gotcha. Id never seen that before. so just spray water at high boost for a cooling effect?
