What have you done to your MS3 today?

well i am from Fairport NY which is just outside of Rochester.
A bit of a trip but hey you never know. And you did a nice job with that modification. Looks as if factory spec or better.
And it would look pretty sweet on my car too. My only question is will it hold up to high speed downforces and such?
We have some great pizza shops up here and the Chicken wings... well.. i am 40 minutes from Buffalo so i would be happy to offer them too for your expertise. : )

hahah thanks..yea i drilled a couple holes into my bumper for test fit and realized it was too far back the first time, so it took a couple tries to have it where i wanted it. im sure itll hold up for a while, and you can even add some 3m tape in there if you wanted to. i did have to cut out the rivets holding up the factory plastic underneath the bumper. i would consider myself an expert installer now (shady) let me know if you ever swing by. there's an annual meet in columbus on july 14th fyi

boost leak

cant get over 17psi and afrs are in the 9s

gettin real tired of your s*** mazda.....
Easy now brother.
once we started modding the learning curve steepens s*** breaks and fails. If you wanted easy cheap fast you would coulda done Honda. And if you had an STI or Evo you would still have a money pit when the modding began, which it would , you know it's true
For me , my Tuner is back in town after a lengthy hiatus FTW ! Ihave been on my own for the last two years .So after i get the warranty work done on VVT i have hope again for my very own boost leak to b**** about.

dont make me count.......

Performance....reliability.....inexpensive

Pick any two, you can't have the third

I wish I could have a project car. Honestly, if I had the time and tools I might try to take the stock motor and trans and put it in the back like the Clio v6.

I picked the same thing for my Speed 3 !
My biggest issue was lack of experience with boosted cars.
I had nearly no trouble except the right rear sway link loosening a couple times and clunking. loctite fixed that.
I was the worst abuser i know to the vehicle. I beat the snockers out of it each time i drove it. I have gone through 4 sets, at least of front tires in my short 74 k.
The only big problems i had were caused by stuff i modded and even then i expected collateral damages !! Cant believe i have not thrown all 4 rods.
I still have a 2-3 thousand worth of parts i haven't installed and 2-4 k yet to buy. ( next Turbo, greddy or aem boost controller, exhaust mani external wastegate. then rods pistons ) etc .
Dont worry Brother you will get it sorted out.

Chin up : )

I gotta get up there one day soon, Eric. But as I told you before, mod meat the 29th. :) I honestly don't even care if you come with the car, just show up, have a beer, turn a few wrenches if you'd like and gain some knowledge and get acquainted with some good folk.
