What have you done to your MS3 today?

So I'm debating whether or not to throw on the winter tires... but it's so damn nice out today. 50+ temps and sunshine. I might just hold off till December and play chicken with Mother Nature.

I have to relearn shifting! LOL Because I am not knowledgeable and don't know fancy terminology, I will put it as basic and descriptive as possible:

-Put your car in 3rd gear; That is my first gear.
-5th gear is in the same position, but you don't have to push it as forward to the dash
-3rd then, is sandwiched in between-the difference between 3rd and 1st is almost negligible, sometimes making it hard to tell which is which until I get used to it.
-The shifter boot is so scrunched up that I think it is hindering shifting. I need a new one bad!

Full writeup install/review with lots of pictures coming tomorrow in my build thread. Stay tuned!

Painted my grille black. Now pondering whether or not I should paint part of my nextmod lip black as well....

took it to laguna seca on saturday. awesome track! it was raining most of the day so i only got a couple dry laps but still lots of fun.

13... good number. Sounds like a blast!

lucky 13! there was a lot of sliding around the tighter corners, really had to control the throttle coming out of turns. definitely going back during the dry season, the track itself is absolutely sick. not super high speed but lots of great turns and crazy elevation changes. the corkscrew is very appropriately named...

Diggin' that splitter. Where'd you get it?

just some super basic universal splitters i found on ebay. takes some careful measuring, drilling, cutting to make them fit the way you want but i'm happy with how they came out. thought about getting something nicer but i just scrape the s*** out of them anyway.

Got a check engine light today....

Code P0401 Exhaust gas recirculation flow insufficient detected is what my Dashawk told me.

Anyone have any insight into this code? I cleared it and drove for a bit and it never came back. May take more driving though.

EGR may be clogged, my mom had this code off and on for around 4 months on her cx7
the dealership ended up replacing her EGR under warranty, and it hasnt come back since

Last night I removed my Pioneer Avic-D3 to sell later today. Oh, I also swapped out my modded headlights with eyelids for my stock headlights. Winter ftl!

Put the winter wheels/tires on, changed transmission fluid to the Ford XT-M5-QS stuff, changed air filters on my CAI.
