What have you done to your MS3 today?

Why are you using seafoam on a brand new car, or any car in this case?

What else do we have to clean our valves? Build up on them is terrible after only short mileage. It's common on direct injected engines, and the reason why some have atleast one port injector to clean the valves (IS-F).

Here's a picture of the 2.0T VW engine's valves at 28K:

I just finished installing my CP-E MM.

This thing is incredible. I had the stock mount w/ Corksport inserts prior to installing the CP-E and the difference is just crazy. Shifts are so smooth now, acceleration is so nice, letting off the gas doesn't make the car feel like it's bucking. Aside from the increased engine vibration, everything is so much smoother and more natural. I'm very pleased. I'm going to drive an hour or so up to Danville VA tomorrow for a THSCC/Triad autocross and am very excited to try out the new mount.

I'm sure I'll get used to the vibrations - after 5 miles of initial testing - I'm impressed.

Replaced the front door speakers with JBL P8662's. (they're the JBL version of Infinity Kappa 682.9's) The Bose speakers have really bad lower-midrange distortion; it's just not made well. Piano sounds and background synths would make this awful tearing noise. I'm pleased that it is gone now.

The JBL's were a perfect drop-in fit . I kept the crossover setup from the other thread intact, so my Dayton tweeters still manage the highs. The P8662 has a rotating tweeter, so I spun each of those around to point towards my ear. That helps what bit of midrange that does come through them have good direction. The overall effect is beautiful. (k)

I figured hell, I was going to have to replace the speakers one day anyway.

washed off the egg from my roof. car was egged.

again.

what. the. ****?

also installed my clear side reflectors.

It's very nice! I love the ping... I don't see how it could bug some people. Running Blue spring and one shim and it is working great.

Can you really notice a difference? I have a Cobb SRI and am contemplating getting that same inlet tube, but I'm skeptical that it will really do a whole lot. :o I know I'm probably wrong.

Yes definitely. You will notice smoother acceleration, powerband and quicker turbo spool. My turbosmart dual port bov sounds louder too. So much being a sleeper. And if you have an after market intake it will sound louder something like this video I found on You Tube:

somewhere buried in this thread or another is a side by side picture of the stock unit next to the PG one -- you can see the restriction in the stock piece and why the PG (or any other TIP) flows more efficiently.

Today I moved all my junk into my new MS3, used a carpet cleaner on both the interior of my MS3 and CX-7, completely cleaned the interior, washed the CX-7, gave the MS3 a kerosene bath to remove bugs and tar, washed her, waxed her up all slippery-like, and did a quick 45 minute photoshoot at 3 locations... started at noon and ended after 8pm.... but well worth it!
