What have you done to your MS3 today?

resurfaced the front pads today. they were also a bit fried but not nearly as bad as the rears. re-bedded everything and the squeal is gone, braking is back to normal. the good news: rotors look fine and the DIY fix for glazed pads worked. the bad news: if i plan to visit the track again(which i do!) the OEM pads are not going to cut it.
 
No doubt. But as much of an enthusiast and knowledgable person about cars as I like to think I am, I know I can't be anywhere near a track star. All I [can] do as a daily commuter is smash the gas every so often

I'm a commuter as well. To me it is not about being a track star but to get the most of what your car can do with all the money spent on it. HT will not get you that but like WILLD said Sh** gets expensive with the AP lol

sounds good except for short shifter and short shifter plate might be overkill. i've run both separately and would go with the short shifter alone.

installed the jbr shift plate with the jbr shift knob in conjunction with my twm short shifter/bushings today, and holy crap...overkill? lol...not hardly. The shifting is freaking amazing. I have never been so happy with how this car drives than how I am right now. Shifts are precise, not loose and sloppy, and no clunking like it was before. Just a little click and its in gear. I am sooooo happy with how it turned out. After I installed the TWM 2 years ago, I wasn't nearly this excited. I am a firm believer in JBR now.

On topic, today I installed JBR shift plate, JBR shift knob, 3k yellow high beam bulbs (to match yellow fog covers and 3k hid fog bulbs), tuned my bpv, and updated my hypertech tuner, and raised my idle 200 rpms. Car is pure driving bliss now. I can't wait to leave work so I can drive the car some more.
 
Ordered bothe SURE TIG's, gonna throw them in when i do my injector seals

I've done that too, thankfully I didn't get any real damage and just a hard to notice dimple in the rear bumper. Sorry to hear that, any damage?

started looking for new brake pads, checking out the hawk hp plus. any other suggestions for a "tweener" pad that will do well on the track but i can also DD?

i need pads that are at least functional for a DD but more importantly that will stand up to the heat from track use. if i end up frying the pads at the track again then they will be useless for a DD or anything else!
