Installed my new aluminum fuel door. I picked one up for $20 on eBay, so thought I would try it for a while. On the Cosmic Blue it doesn't stand out much, I think it is a nice touch - we'll see what reactions I get from some of my more critical children to decide if it stays or not.

rotated my tires. detailed the interior. Tomorrow it'll get a nice wash down...it needs it. 3 weeks running and no car wash.... had to wait out the california fires. but, I'm free tomorrow, so that'll be the first thing to get done on my to-do list.... along with a nice coat of wax. Oh, and this is going in too....

'Took me a long time to decide on those wheels, and longer to wait for them from Japan too.

Gotta' tell you though, that hood lift kit is really the s***. One hand to lift and close now. No more hood prop to deal with. I recommend it to anyone who's opened their hood with a bottle of washer fluid or oil in their had only to realize that they must put it down first to set to hood prop.

That's a 215 ALUMINUM block IIR what you'd said correctly, and it's roughly 100-150 lbs lighter than the average sm block Chevy, again iirc?

I was gonna dump one of those (Buick/Olds) in an 1800S @ one time. shoulda' been rough 50lbs heavier than the iron block 1.8L 4 it would've replaced.

s*** man you can turbo a miata drive train or s2k drive train for those super 7 setups and those things scream. there are two of those in our Atlanta region SCCA that are just badass. It was crazy with just the miata drive train last year, then this year he brings it out turboed. it was insane. The guy with the s2k drive train hardly comes out but it lays it down when he does.
