What have you done to your Miata today?

^ lmao. I didn't like that color either when I was shopping around for mine. You are right though, you worked with what you had and now it's MOTM. (rei)

Grass is always greener...I have black but want something less boring

Also I have some suspension bits on the way, then I will be changing to a more functional ride height :D

Thanks! Here was the process.

your welcome law.

true. I really didn't like the color of the top or interior but I figured it would be great if I went with a gold or bronze rims and later a carbon kevlar hood.

New plug wires, new (relocated) gauge pod, and the other day I moved the boost retard control to the back of the glove box where no one can mess with it. Received my RaamMat today, going to put a few pieces over the rear wheel wells to see how that lessens cabin noise.

Here's a video of some mediocre driving

My fastest run from our last autox (2 weeks ago). Meh. Fun course, the big left hand sweeper after the slalom was impossible (for me) to get right. I never quite got the line or the speed I should have carried through there. Oh well. Still left with a smile on my face after driving this stupid contraption tho :D

Not mine but drove a co-workers 2011 sparkling black mica SE!!! :D Now I really have the bug.

Little suckers are insidious. I can't wait to see how the presentation to Tam goes...

Finally got around to getting my trans out of the car. Probably one of the easiest transmissions i have ever done, had it out and most of the way back in the car in less than and hour and a half. Finally got to see what i actually have in there for a clutch and flywheel as well (ACT clutch and Excedy Flywheel) also found what my problem has been:

Ended up finding the other piece of the pivot ball in the clutch fork boot i guess i got lucky it ended up there instead of somewhere in the clutch assembly.

In another miata note had a tow in mazdaspeed mx5 that had the fuel pump die that i need to replace

Well def. can't do a new SE...damn things are just North of 30K and not practical as a second car with two kids. Now a nice NA that runs but needs some minor work would make for a great third car to the stable. :)

Believe me Chief, I've been making the presentation for some time now. She's not crazy about it and the fact that I don't have the disposable cash to buy a thrid car at this point in time isn't helping my cause. lol One day I hope to have one!

And anyone know how to figure out the production numbers for them? Looked at the VIN but not sure wherein the number would lie....guess she could call Mazda?

My significant other wasn't thrilled about an extra car either. Then she came along for a test drive of the first Miata I got, 5 minutes into it she turned to me and asked "so when is it coming home?" It's not a tough sell if you can take them for a ride with the top down in decent weather.

so true.

woohoo i have a normal clutch again. Filled the car up with the diff and trans fluids last night, also changed out the rear pinion shaft seal while i was there since it was leaking. Took some time and flushed the injectors as well
