What have you done to your Miata today?

Sadly no. Someone needs to sell me a go-pro for cheap :( I've changed co-driver this year (in that, I'll probably have a handful of different people driving with me at different times) and my old co-driver is the videographer for our region so his is pretty much always tied up. For a couple of examples of his work, check out this: ARSCCA Novice Video, and this: 2012 Dixie National Tour Highlights

How about letting you borrow one for a while? I don't use mine much.

Could work if this deal with Mahk doesn't work out. I'd just rather have my own in general, but I'm not below borrowing one :)

Or if you're looking for some cool video we could put one in a "unique" location on the car, which could be fun too. The "hanging from the rollbar" setup we had last year was rocking from a learning perspective, you could see everything the driver was doing and the course, very clearly.

See here for an example:

Footwork, hands, where the driver is looking, everything.

Over the weekend I put my racing seats back in:

And installed my new seat belt pads that I had custom made 3" wide for my harnesses from Redline Goods:

Among other things I stripped off every body panel I could to give to my bodywork guy to paint and built a 2.5" stainless race pipe to connect to the FM turbo exhaust I got.

Got rid of one stablemate only to pick up another 24 hours later.

No, it's not mine, but a racing buddy's that needs a place to store and work on it for a little while.

The kart. It takes up nowhere near the room the tub did. Haha

If it did, I wouldn't have offered for him to store it here lol. Screw that thing (the tub, I mean). Working in that shop with 2 cars gets fairly tight. It will get better once I get around to adding shelving and can get some stuff off the floor, but still not great. A kart though? Yeah, I've got room for that.

Pulled her out of storage yesterday.

Verdit: 95% good to go! I have a vacuum issue that I need to take care of. At idle, it's only pulling around 10" of vacuum. Normally it was closer to 15". Not really a big deal because it idles well. The problem really arises when driving. Off throttle, it only goes to 10". Makes for a jerky and smelly ride. Off throttle, it would usually go down to 25-30" of vacuum. Looks like I need to check the vacuum lines.

plugged in my LINK ECU keypad to attempt to set the ECU to read the new AEM wideband but the keypad lit up like this and that is all she'll do

Found the issue. one of the vacuum lines that is part of my vac "block" wasn't connected to the blow off valve. Evan heard the compressor surge last night, as did I, but couldn't figure out why it was doing that. Yeah... ******* BOV wasn't hooked up. Both ends of the vacuum lines that mate to each other were hidden out of sight. Took me 10 minutes to find w here both halves were.

No longer reaks of fuel.
BOV works
Idle and off throttle are pulling sufficient vacuum.
