What have you done to your Miata today?

I guess this will be my last post here for now......

:(.....

I did take a look at the hoses, they are fine.

I replaced the master cylinder last night, feels much better. Now I have a smaller issue, when I brake hard it pulls to the right, which leads me to believe the pads didn't wear evenly but I can live with that for a while. A little air came out of the fronts and none from the back, and the first 3 or 4 times I stepped on it the ABS didn't kick in, took a few more tries. I can do heel and toe now, and even the parking brake feels better. I'll bleed them again today, maybe some more air will come out.

Uneven pad wear won't cause pulling. Calipers that grab harder on one side than the other do.

Bought a Lexan fan shroud, I believe it is the last of its kind new. Now to source some Spals and get it put in when I get home. For anyone who might second-guess this (cough-Maff-cough), some of you may recall I have an intercooled MP62 setup waiting to go in. There are brackets which move the radiator slightly to the rear of the stock location. As I have a large JR front sway if I stay with the stock fans there is going to be interference. Plus I get more airflow with the Spals.

bled the brakes again and a little more air came out of the fronts, feels better. Haven't hit them hard again but it's staying straight so far

In homage, I cleaned up imjustagirl's Miata... Next is shadow102's Miata....(when I have the time.)

how'd you do?

What Chris said, the event was today. And I did Ok I guess, considering I'm on 3 year old tires that have all but completely heat cycled out. I just happened to have 4 of them with some meat left so we threw them on the wheels and went to have some fun :D. Fortunately, I have new tires coming this week, though I doubt I'll have time to get them installed before next event (which is next weekend).

It was fun though. The lot has recently been re-sealed, and it's covered in pollen from our recent pollen-ocalypse here in GA, so the first few runs until we wore the "old" off of the tires and got to some fresh rubber and got some heat in them, it literally felt like the car had about 300 hp. Breathe on the throttle with the front tires doing anything other than going straight and it would spin the tires.

Through 3rd gear.

It did lead to a brown-shorts moment with a pretty decent save on my part though. But I am pretty sure I pooped a little (rlaugh)

haha...no in car video? :(

Sadly no. Someone needs to sell me a go-pro for cheap :( I've changed co-driver this year (in that, I'll probably have a handful of different people driving with me at different times) and my old co-driver is the videographer for our region so his is pretty much always tied up. For a couple of examples of his work, check out this: ARSCCA Novice Video, and this: 2012 Dixie National Tour Highlights
