What have you done to your Miata today?

So after this past weekend of driving the Miata to and from Florida, I realize two things. I either need to.......

1.) Need to stop being paranoid about being at 4k RPM at 80mph (GPS says 75, but whatever)
2.) Install a set of 3.636 gears in the rear end.

I am also debating on doing a Hydra-ectomy and putting the stock ECU in, but then I notice my 30+ MPG on a 200+ whp MSM. lol screw being stock!

I get better mileage cruising at 4000ish rpm (5 speed and taller tires make it 80 on the nose) going thru WV mountains than I do putting around at 65 mph and ~ 3000. Proved that on my trip to NC. I got 24.8 at 65 and almost 29 at 80.

All my vents are done and replaced. Got a line on some cheap NB2 seats locally, going to look at them tonight. If I pick them up then I'll get some appropriate colored leather and redo them.

You can't compare them unless on the same road ;-)

What did I do today? Found out the side window seals on NA hardtops need to be replaced to go on an NB, and they're expensive.

The seats are mine! And for anyone wondering, I can unequivocably state that NB2 seats are more comfortable than NB1 seats (even after the latter had a foamectomy).

Lotus seats are the most comfortable OEM like seat that I've experienced.

As tall as you are, you should have gone w/ some Lotus seats :D

I did consider it, but for several reasons. Cost, availability, and comfort for my wife. The last probably the most important, she loves driving the car and I know she would not have liked having to climb in and out more than she already does.

Installed the new seats and ran some errands, they do a much better job holding me in place so I can be more aggressive cornering. Too bad I didn't have them before last Sunday's autocross.

set of Lotus seats just sold for $600 shipped for a pair on clubroadster

Damn.... I would like a set of seats that sit lower than mine. Don't have stock seats because you can tell by the stitching, but they are leather and comfy as heck. I need something a bit lower to replace them and just as comfy.

Racing Beat.

I can't think of a single exhaust they make that's loud.

Shopping for a new exhaust...anyone have a suggestion? I have an NA8...and don't want something super loud.

EnthuzaCar, get it with the resonator and you'll be good to go.
Flyin' Miata
Racing Beat as already mentioned.
Roadster Sport that Goodwin sells.

Ordered up some nylon braided hose to install my new valve cover/catch can and reinstall my oil filter relocation kit. Hopefully without any leakage this time!

She started making a squealing noise occasionally, and there's a little coolant coming out of the water pump weep hole. Time for a new water pump!
