watertemp gauge

i got a ac water temp gauge and was wondering does anyone know if you can wire the gauge to the factory sending unit without lots of trouble? it came with a temp sensor but i figured it might be easier to wire it the the factory sending unit. if so can anyone give a how to on wiring it up to the factory sending unit? i talked to 1 guy and he said the factory unit should have a single wire coming off of it and the gauge has a single wire to hook it to the temp sensor sent with the gauge so i should just have to hook these wires together right? thanks

do it and see what happens. personally, i might try to find a way to use the sended that came with the gauge. the stock sender might not have the same resolution as the gauge is looking for.

thats what i want to do but dont know if the sender that came with the temp gauge will fit in the same hole in the block that the factory sender is in? i hope so

it should be close. if not, head to the parts store with both senders and tell them you want the new one to go in the hole from the old one.
