Little background- bought one last October, went from AEM intake (ran fine), car always stalled with the Perrin. Perrin revised the design and had folks cut off the nipple where the BPV attached and stick the little plastic elbow in differently so it blew away from the MAF. Still stalled all the time.
Perrin admitted the design is flawed and promised a re-design. I've saved all of these emails and can post them if folks want to see them.
Asked me to keep a lid on my problem since it was "bad for sales" and I did so since I figured they'd fix it and we'd all get back on track.
Anyway, this was 5 months ago. I've been emailing them regularly and keep getting put off. Back in Feb I was told its arrival was imminent, but no dice. They've stopped replying to emails now, so I figured I'd give folks a heads up.
There are a few folks running this intake successfully, although I think they all run either a dual bpv/bov or FMIC, which seems to be the right combo for whatever reason. I'm otherwise stock. Any other folks running mostly stock cars with the Perrin successfully?
Anyway, just be warned before you buy if you're considering it. You may or may not get a functional part.
I've been running an Injen successfully since Oct.
