wagner said:Hey chris,
Im glad to hear your happy with it. Did you re-use your old manifold gasket or did you get a new one? sometimes you can get away with re-using them, but it sounds like you might have a little exhaust leak... try a new gasket and let us know.

where would i go to get a new manifold gasket, and should i use gasket seal
Because I said so.CFOLEY442 said:why do you have to unbolt the bracket that holds the precat in place?
no i had no problem geting the manifold off, but puting the header on i snaped a bold in the precat, i tryed everything i could to get it out, then the screw extractor snap in the screw, i don't now what i can do to have it seel tight, i was thinking some type of exhaust gasket sealer.sidpro5 said:Ok. Seriously now, you have to remove the bracket to allow the downpipe to move a bit, as both the cat and the head have studs in them, not just bolts. Otherwise, you will not get the stock exhaust manifold off.

i'll try that, i kept killing drill bits trying to dirll thourgh it, i gonna see if i can find a high density bit, and what is rtv sealantwagner said:You need to re-tap that hole and get a bolt in there or most likely your not gonna get it to seal. Try an easy-out, or try drilling it out completely and putting a nut and bolt through it. IF worst comes to worst (this is a last resort) you can try some RTV sealant, but thats only if nothing else works.
good to know. i'm deciding between going with this one, and buying a racing mazda off a member. this is definetly cheaper in the steel option.wagner said:Jon,
I would say the turn-around time has improved... Chris places his order on Wednesday, we made the header and over-nighted it to him so he would have it for the weekend. We have new ordering and shipping policies that went into effect so give us a call if you need anything.
