Vinyl Body Graphics

What do you all think of this? Im considering doing it, but Im not sure sometimes I look at it and it looks good and other times it looks cheesy as hell... I dunno...

Contrary to most people, I like side graphics. As for this one, I think it may be a little too much. It takes over the entire side of the car. I like smaller graphics IMO, but whatever floats your boat.

Yeah I'm with him. I love side graphics but that is a little overdoing it I think. I like the design, maybe you can shrink it a little, maybe just covering the doors?

Is it possible to get vinyl in semi-transparent shades??

I've got an idea for my car, but it has to be quite light to work, if it's not, it's WAY to ricey.

This is what I did have on my car...many seemed to like it aswell as myself...but found out decals jst attract more attention...so shaved the side moldings..and going for a cleaner look before adding the turbo

I happen to like it. And a damn fine photochop if I've seen one! Maybe a little smaller, but hell, look at mine! And to answer the question about semi transparant decals, yes, they make them. In fact, in the MSP forum, I photchopped the flying M onto a car in a semi transparent color so they could see what it looked like. Done IRL, the idea is great. Most the time you can tell something is there, but its hard to make out unless you really look at it. Let me see if I can find the pic for you...

VIOLA!! Here you go...

I have a Mp3 and I want to shave my emblems, I am talking aboout the Little Mp3 symbols on the side of the car, right below the side marker. I just cant figure out how to get them off?

a hairdryer and some goo gone are your best friends for getting them off. BTW if you use a razor blade make sure to use the flat side.

As for the graphics. I like them if they are carried throughout the rest of your car. Can't remember whos car it was but had tribal graphics like that and then it carried into the window tint with the same design. When it is a complete thought out scheme like that I like it or as long as it flows with the rest of the car. But when you take gaudy graphics in an outlandish color and stick them on a stock car you get the perfect recipe for rice. Not flaming it's just my opinion. Oh and no offense again but the red P5 pic with graphics looks like somebody spooged on the side of your car.

There's no way that was a photochop. I think it was a pic of a similar car with those graphics. If it is, then I'm quite impressed.

actually now that I look at it again, I like it. Dunno if it grew on me or what but hmmm... That one will definately take some time to ponder over. It looks good but it draws lots of attention. Are those 2 things you want? Well obviously you want it to look good but what about drawing attention?

Well like I said, its something Im still considering, it is a major appearance change so I really have to think about it. I totally dig the extremeness of it, but I dont know if it would draw attention in a good or bad way... thats why I posted here to get some input.

Below are some pics of it smaller like some have suggested, but I think it looks kinda 80s with it small, I dunno

Thanks for all the input! :D

i think that its amazing what about 150 dollars in vinyl can really do to change the whole look and attitude of a car. as you can see with my choice of simplicity that it really brings out the attractive lines of the protege. i also like the design that dragon babe has on her car. very nice.

AmurA i think if you tame it down a bit or do it in a softer color that it will look great. btw you did a good job photoshopping that. i think maybe a silver would look great just because it would stand out but would have a more dull finish than your paint. just a thought.

good god, let the flame beging but man, graphics make ur car look like a damn hot wheels toy, i see cars with stuff like that and i just shake my head in disapointment. it upsets me that i am accoiated with them b/c i also own a import and take pride in owning and tuning one. for shame!

ok, well lets not even pay attention to any negative remarks. This thread was to help AmurA out. Not bicker about decals. I'm tired of reading thread after thread of fighting. Please just use constructive criticism and don't start another fight.

As for the smaller graphics, you're right. They don't look quite right. I thought they would look better but not after seeing them. I would stick with the first one. It's definately grown on me since the first time I've seen it. I actually like it now.

You will regret if you do this body vinyl man, you don't wanna list your car in ricecop.com.
Trust me man.

PA is right, but i dont know about that particular design. i dig graphics on a car, but im not into the whole tribal look sorry. i dig esp the graphics from modern image. good luck on your choice! - chris
