Valentine 1

Have any of you hard wired a Valentine one or other detector in the MS6? I would like to run the wire from the driver side kick panel up to the headliner from a switched connection.

Just looking for a good wire to tap into.

I had a friend hardwire my RD.

Instead of running a wire from the kick panel, he dropped down the interior light assemble and tapped into a wire in that area. I believe the wire was sun roof related. I had him install an 1 amp inline fuse just in case he tapped into a circuit that had a bit too much amperage.

Anyways, it seems to work. My RD turns on/off with the ignition.

i have done it in my 6.

we ran the wire down the A pillar, and hooked it up into one of the cigarette lighter wires. so it turns on when i turn on the car.
