Just got into an accident while GOING to do my swap!! :mad:
Gonna put pack the ZE in the Probe and use the Probe until I can fix the Pro...

read his earlier post. He was on his way to work on the Protege project car when he got into an accident with his daily driver. The Protege's not damaged at all, but now he has to put that stuff on the back burner.

The project car was the daily driver! (bang) I was bringing it to my garage... Maybe it was really stupid to drive a race car every day(I work on the road) and God wanted to punish me! lol
THe KL-ZE is back in the Probe, it was a sad day, I had the two car side by side, but I was lowering the engine in the Probe engine bay instead of the Protege! It was heart-taking! :'(

If anybody plans to do the V6 swap, buy a MX-6/Probe and start working on the wiring! (thumb)

***edit*** By the way, I am not insured for this! Right now I'm looking for a P5 front clip...

it's never over! (rockon)
All the parts are there, only need to fix the front end. I'll take all winter to reinforce the front, extend the roll cage to shock tower and firewall, finish the interior(more stripping), make a custom wiring and switches for lights and work on a stand-alone EMS for the V6! (thumb)

I've got some news. Looks like there is a team in a TV show called "Projet Tuning" here in Quebec who's gonna try to put a KL-ZE turbo in a '01 Protege sedan. I am very sceptic about their success, because I've been working on this project for a long time and I know now what is needed and not(like a complete KL-powered car!?) and they're not. They got 36 hours to do it(engine only) and 15 000$CAN for the WHOLE car! Yeah right! Hope they suceed, but from what I saw on the show, they don't look like they know what they're doing.
